Today, 1 in 88 children are diagnosed with autism. That’s an increase of up to 17 times, in the last 25 years. However the understanding of autism amongst the general public is still extremely low. Because early diagnosis can make a world of difference, it is important that people are informed about the symptoms of autism so they can seek an early diagnosis/treatment. The campaign is designed respond to the growing need to highlight concern and awareness about autism, by illustrating some of its symptoms. Singapore’s largest autism awareness group, The Autism Resource Centre, wanted to highlight the symptom: ‘Hypersensitivity to sound’ for World Autism Month (takes place in April every year). To communicate this message, we integrated search bars on various websites with onsite banners to provide a virtual demonstration of how the slightest sound could be deafening to a child with Autism. We created a world’s first – a banner that was activated by users’ interactions with the keyboard. We developed a source code that enabled us to track letters as they are being typed into the search bar. This, in turn, triggered a reaction from the girl in the banner below, demonstrating how she is seemingly affected by even the light sounds of typing. This campaign went live on half a dozen partner sites with a potential audience of 2.2 million visitors. It also received the attention of TV stations which featured Singapore’s President of Autism Resource Centre, Denise Phua, thus bringing more public attention to the cause. Duolingo's mascot Duo is known for appearing in fun push notifications on users' phones reminding them of study time. To prove just how far the little owl is willing to go to encourage and help the students, the platform projected the world's largest push notification (with a size between 10 and 15 squared meters) on buildings in the city of São Paulo, Brazil, to give them that 'push' to resume their streaks (counted in the app as the number of days in a row a student completes assignments). After a search and posts asking for fan recommendations on the brand's social media profiles, some users were chosen - from more than 500 responses with nominations from all regions of the metropolis - to receive the giant personalized notifications. The surprise was organized with the help of family and friends, who were responsible for taking the students to their apartment windows. Outside, they found fun and customized notifications for each profile, projected on the sides of neighboring buildings, making them impossible to ignore. Created by HearLife Clinic and FP7/McCann in Dubai, “Lost Frequency” is a series of self-diagnosing radio adverts for hearing loss. With 500,000 people affected with hearing loss in the UAE, the challenge for HearLife was to get the 35% of sufferers unaware they have a problem, to take a hearing test. The early symptoms of hearing loss are difficulties hearing high frequency and low sounds, often only discovered in an audiology exam. In the examination, ranges of sounds tested patients hearing: those unable to hear above 4kHz+ are diagnosed with hearing loss. To make the test something everyone would want to listen to, the team took the science of a hearing test and disguised it as wildlife documentary. Because birds, crickets and dolphins all naturally sing in the 4kHz+, they could use these animals to help self-diagnose hearing loss. In a series of 3 radios, take a quick dive with dolphins, listen to the birds, and join thousands of crickets on a summer’s night. For the first time, those who didn’t know they had a problem were self-diagnosed and offered a solution. Plano de Menina (Girl's Plan), a social initiative whose goal is to give a voice and opportunities to underprivileged girls throughout Brazil, offering courses and workshops on financial education, entrepreneurship, career building, self-esteem, law, citizenship, and other subjects, created the #EqualPay movement in partnership with BETC/Havas, in order to call on public institutions, employers and society at large to reflect on and promote positive initiatives that contribute to making equal pay between men and women a reality. Research shows that for women to earn the same as men, they need to begin their professional life 10 years earlier. The unfairness of this situation is evidenced through the character Heloisa Teodoro, a 10-year-old Plano de Menina student. In the campaign, the girl questions recruiters from various companies about male privilege and asks: "Do you think that's fair?" The recruiters are left speechless when challenged by a girl who, together with thousands of other Plano de Menina girls, started the #EqualPay movement seeking to secure the same rights and equal pay for women, calling on all Brazilians to unite to make this future possible, so that women can enter the job market at the right time and receive the same salaries and opportunities as men. Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade (MoCAB) has been closed to the public since 2007 due to reconstruction of the main exhibition building, which created a wave of public discontent. In order to turn things around, we launched free augmented reality app “msu ARt”, turning billboards, posters, and print ads in 15 Serbian cities into works of art from distinguished MoCAB collections. To make the world’s largest virtual exhibition of all time and art available to almost every citizen, we gathered the biggest Serbian advertisers: Telekom Serbia, Ahold Delhaize, Halkbank, Bambi, Coca-Cola, Schweppes, Fanta, BMW, Honda, Mini, Tommy Hilfiger, Replay, Diesel, Liu Jo, and Raiffeisen bank.
