To download the plug-in: http://goo.gl/1XJuW A new browser plug-in suggests alternatives to offensive words on social networks. A short while ago BBR Saatchi&Saatchi met with 15 teenagers from the StartupSeeds organization – a program for nurturing technology-oriented youth, in order to try and find a solution to a national (and worldwide) problem – cyber-bullying: boycotts, harassments and offensive messages causing dozens of children emotional damage which in many cases pushes them to end their lives tragically. Out of dozens of ideas, we chose the one which addressed the offending party, the cyber bully, just before he writes the offensive message on platforms like Facebook, blogs and forum: We have created a Chrome browser plug-in that detects offensive words, and replaces them with positive ones. When Samsung approached us with a brief to promote their new Anti-Tangle vacuum, we thought about all kinds of people that might benefit from a technology that makes certain long hairs do not get entwined in the vacuum's turbine – thereby neutralizing it. But from hippies, Rapunzels and Princesses Leia of the world, conversation quickly turned to other hair-abundant creatures and came to rest on pets. But what could possibly connect between pets and vacuums? After some research we discovered that while 17% of people refuse to adopt a pet because of the hair they shed, 37% could be persuaded to adopt one if the hair issue was solved. So we decided to do just that! So in cooperation with the country's leading Pet Shelter "Let Animals Live", Samsung gave people the opportunity to adopt a pet and get a free Samsung Vacuum with advanced Anti-Tangle Technology that prevents it from clogging up with hair and fur. URL: http://ifidie.net/ Solution: Using the API of popular location based services (foursquare, Gowalla..), combined with twitter, 'Facebook places' and 'Google Latest', we were able to track thousands of check-ins worldwide. With this information we knew exactly where someone was in real time, and could communicate the message in person and that's exactly what we did. We called thousands of people from all over the world to their place of check-in and asked to speak with that person, after he was called to the phone, we've communicated our message in a personal way and reminded him that death can catch him anywhere, anytime. Synopsis: We all know that one day we will die, but we don't like to think about it, because it's not going to happen anytime soon. Based on the strategy that "Death can catch you anywhere, anytime" and with an innovative use of location based services, we reminded people, that just like we did, death could also catch them anywhere, anytime and that they’d better leave a message before it was too late. Results: Without any media budget at our disposal , the sudden and extensive interest that the campaign initiated produced numerous headlines in newspapers, blogs, radio and TV coverage, resulted in an 800% increase in recorded messages being left on “If I Die". Coca Cola wanted to leverage Facebook Places to increase awareness for recycling plastic bottles, and so we created "The Recycling King" activity. We added over 10,000 recycle bins locations to the Facebook Places system, so no matter where you are in Israel, you can find a recycle bin near you. From there, things just started happening on their own. Thousands participated and shared the recycling experience with their friends by checking in and uploading photos. The most active participant was crowned: "Recycling King". Ambient advertisement created by Publicis, Israel for Coca-Cola, within the category: Non-Alcoholic Drinks.
