This place was avoided by everyone, so much so that even the Google car didn't come here. After 40,000 liters of paint was used to turn more than the 400 homes into a real-life cascading rainbow, all the streets were scanned with a 360° camera, and crafted into an online Virtual Tour of the entire Colorful Hill. This exclusive VR interactive experience (similar to the Google Street View), allowed everyone to see the transformation effects from the inside. Everyone was able to walk around the colorful streets and click on the links to watch online videos and read exclusive stories about the impact of the transformation. One of the world's largest ambient exhibitions of color in open air became an Instagram hotspot and was named a must-visit site in media all over the world. What would make you smile in a life where you wake up exactly at the same time, drive through the same roads, arrive at the same place and do the same things every day over and over again? A good sleep? Not enough. The morning coffee? To some extent. The company car? How so? Like this. Your alarm goes off. You wake up. It’s still dark outside. You have to go to work. You get up from bed. You look out from the window and ta-da! There it is. The company car. It’s waiting for you, “let’s roll together!” it says. At that moment, “El Bimbo” starts to play in your head. The campaign for the fleet leasing company, Hedef Filo consists of four TVCs. It shows us the misery of waking up early and going to work, the stress of a job interview, the tiredness from working all day, and the tension that arises from being stranded on the road while going to a very important meeting. And in these stressful moments, seeing the company car on a platform revolving in all its beauty with “El Bimbo” playing in the head, it lightens the mood. TBWA\Istanbul took an innovative path in selecting their most recent interns, who were chosen not only for their talent, but also for their love of advertising. In cooperation with Minder, one of the best neurotechnology companies in Turkey, the agency tested 503 potential interns by showing them a set of iconic ads and observing their emotional reactions, which were then converted to numerical data. The five subjects who showed the most love for advertising earned the right to the internship positions. The big idea was to create an alternate ending for one of the saddest movie (Title: My Dear Brother-1973) of Turkish cinema history. The film was about a little boy with leukemia. His biggest wish was to have a television at home, his older brothers were trying everything to get it for him, but unfortunately he was dying just before he can watch it. So in order to highlight the fate changing role of the LOSEV, we've decided to change the famous final scene of the movie with a happy ending. In this new final scene, the big brother brought the television home, just like in the original film, but instead of finding his little brother dead, he waked him up and they started to watch the television together with joy. Slavery, Isis, beheadings and crucifixions. Just a few of the nightmares Syrian families are fleeing their homes from. In just three days, Turkey took in more Syrian refugees than Europe has in three years. Violence from the Assad regime has forced ten million people from their homes - that’s half the country - and more than 3 million out of the country itself. There are now 3.3 million refugees, and over half are children. Syria’s neighboring countries have bore the brunt of the war's effects by taking in millions. But now, they can’t keep up. In some of the poorest communities in the Middle East, the strain on resources has made life unbearable. Lebanon has welcomed 1,600,000 refugees, swelling its population by 36%. While at last count the UK had only resettled 54.
