Laughing Switch is a donation campaign which created its own medium to reach millions. Through out the world, comedy shows rely on the same laughter sound effects as a hint to underline the jokes. Instead of these familiar laughter sounds, Turkey's most popular radio shows used our very own sound effects: Laughter sounds belong to those children diagnosed with leukemia. The outcome of this simple switch has been remarkable. Nation wide audience was invited to laugh along children with leukemia and donate to LÖSEV by sending a simple Smiley Emoji to SMS line. The never been used "switch" became the most successful campaign for LÖSEV in recent years as donation rates rose more than %800. The public responded to the leukemia reality positively with conversation rates in social media raised more than %450. As influencers and celebrities taking a stand and talking about leukemia, our voice reached to millions through TV and newspapers. With almost no budget we had succeeded in creating a campaign and with a never been used switch we laughed big and wide, so big that no mask could hide. Turkey is on the brink of serious water shortage, and the brand has launched a huge campaign calling everyone to start saving for future generations. One of the most evident signs of this shortage is the water levels in the lakes, where water levels have seriously dropped. So we have studied the topography of 5 lakes (Seyfe, Suğla, Ilgın, Karataş and Burdur Lakes) and turned their shapes into glasses, each glass representing a lake. The amount of water they hold is also the percentage of the water remaining in those lakes. So, if there’s only 64% of water left in Burdur lake, the glass can also hold that percentage of water. The glasses were first launched on the 22nd March, World Water Day, which also happens to be the date of the biggest national economic forum; Uludağ Economical Forum. All the glasses at the event were swapped with our glasses. Here we reached 2.200 people the major opinion leaders of the country: Members of the government, top academicians, company CEO’s and all the news channels. We hacked the event. As they tried to drink water out of a shallow glass, they could see our website. Direct advertisement created by Havas, Turkey for Finish, within the category: House, Garden.

What would make you smile in a life where you wake up exactly at the same time, drive through the same roads, arrive at the same place and do the same things every day over and over again? A good sleep? Not enough. The morning coffee? To some extent. The company car? How so? Like this. Your alarm goes off. You wake up. It’s still dark outside. You have to go to work. You get up from bed. You look out from the window and ta-da! There it is. The company car. It’s waiting for you, “let’s roll together!” it says. At that moment, “El Bimbo” starts to play in your head. The campaign for the fleet leasing company, Hedef Filo consists of four TVCs. It shows us the misery of waking up early and going to work, the stress of a job interview, the tiredness from working all day, and the tension that arises from being stranded on the road while going to a very important meeting. And in these stressful moments, seeing the company car on a platform revolving in all its beauty with “El Bimbo” playing in the head, it lightens the mood. Cif wanted to introduce a campaign based on the concept of nostalgia. And it On our part, we created a Cif timeline, starting from 1985, the year when it entered Turkey, up until present day. We designed this timeline on a cardboard band, placing hallmark Cif products on it and incorporating Cif's nostalgic commercial music. We produced music boxes of old times that would play the commercial music. We adjusted the cardboard band according to the notes of the commercial music and put the band into the music box. As the music box plays, the journey into the time with Cif has begun. The nostalgia package has been delivered to our most active users on Facebook page and bloggers. This is the story of the nostalgic way by which Cif nostalgia campaign was announced. Direct advertisement created by Havas, Turkey for Cif, within the category: House, Garden.

Architecture and (Media) Design are art forms that exist independently from one another. Over the last few years they have been growing together. They are entering into symbiotic dependencies and stimulations. Against the background of the information technologies, architecture has gained a new reality. No longer are objects or processes the constituting elements of a building. Now they are described as technical networks of communicating nodes, which balance themselves in contrived patterns. "Augmented Structures v1.1 : Acoustic Formations/Istiklal Street" is an augmented structure, an installation by Refik Anadol and Alper Derinboğaz which is created through the use of innovative parametric architecture and audiovisual techniques. The projects deals with a new mediated space: How to translate the logic of media into architecture? In this first experiment field recordings of Istiklal Street will be transformed in to parametric architectural structure. The recordings were made by Kerim Karaoglu who also used these recordings to create an electro-acoustical composition. The project seeks interactions between space, sound, visual and light. A similar connection between architecture and media has been experienced in Philips Pavilion of Le Courbusier in 1958. Beyond being an artwork this installation is an urban experience. The scale of surface, 2000sqm, and the dominance of the location will definitely take place in collective memory of İstiklal Street visitors. There will be an exhibition opening on 20th of September at 19:30 in relation to this façade installation which showcases experiments of architecture- sound - visual correlations of Refik Anadol and Alper Derinbogaz. During the night visual performance will be projected on the structure which will be accompanied with a generatively designed contemporary aesthetic visuals consisting of input data from the recordings and their transformed versions synchronized to the movement of graphics re-shaping and transforming the structure on which they are projected. The structure in turn influences and transforms the projections as well.
