Amidst a burgeoning refugee crisis, the struggle to put food on the table is a difficult reality for refugees seeking asylum in unfamiliar territory. PichaEats (formerly known as The Picha Project) a Kuala Lumpur-based, food business which partners refugees in Malaysia in a sustainable catering and delivery business, has released a video ahead of Ramadan to bring to light how the simple act of enjoying a meal could change lives. Conceptualized by social marketing agency, GOODSTUPH in partnership with Reel Loco Productions and Song Zu Singapore, the video aims to deliver stunning cinematic #foodporn against the harsh realities of life as a refugee, by spotlighting the true story of Syrian refugee and Picha Chef, Rania. The narrative of her family’s escape from war-torn Raqqa and the tragedies that accompany it, runs parallel with the preparation of her signature Fattet Magdoos, a traditional stuffed eggplant casserole dish served with fried Arabic bread. History is written in a unique brief This is what Ogilvy Colombia demonstrates by directing the first campaign for Carulla developed from under the roof of a jail, one that has been conceptualized and sketched with the creatives from the Agencia Interna – the first advertising agency inside a penitentiary center-. For this, Ogilvy and Carulla assisted during 10 weeks the jail Cárcel Modelo de Bogotá, training the inmates while they developed the campaign from a brief specially chosen for them. The outcome: more than 19 ideas and nearly 30 graphic proposals. Therefore, offering as a result a remarkable campaign with no precedents. The result was: ``CARULLA SE VISTE DE CAMPO´´. Campaign by which the brand offers tribute to the 200 years of freedom. Therefore Carullabecame the first brand to offer a second opportunity to the jail community in the world. “This is Ogilvy, this is what it represents and makes us proud, to be able to be part of this projects is what identifies our philosophy and nurtures the agency and our country”. Mauricio Barriga - CEO Ogilvy Colombia “Sometimes we consider creativity belongs only to the advertising creatives and agencies, but by looking at this campaign for the first time, produced by the inmates with so much proud and joy, you remember that having an idea is a democratic process. Julio César Herazo - DCG Ogilvy Colombia “This independence day I urge you to enjoy your freedom, from someone who wants to have it once more”. Introducing ‘Dick’, the person we’re all guilty of occasionally being. The ‘Don’t be Dick’ campaign addressed the unthinking behavior of grabbing a takeaway coffee in a humorous, straight-talking way that jolted people into taking notice, suggesting instead that they ‘Choose to Re-use.’ Disposable coffee cups are not really ‘disposable’. They aren’t recycled here in Ireland and are a huge waste generator, with 200 million thrown away each year. Dublin City Council wanted to educate people on this little-known fact, start the conversation around the environmental impact and drive behavior change by encouraging everyone to switch to a re-usable cup. Film advertisement created by JWT, Ireland for Dublin City Council, within the category: Public Interest, NGO.
