DLB Group together with Xtreme Picture and the Anticancer Society of Venezuela wanted to send a message to society to prevent cancer in smokers, especially in people who have not started smoking yet. To smoke you need to have style. When you grab the cigar, you turn it on and give that first puff of smoke, it is appreciated how you are in your lifestyle, the passion you have and the attitude which you develop yourself with. What most people do not know is that 70% of people start smoking because they strongly believe that gives them style and 70% of those people develop cancer because of smoking. Covid-19 prevented sports fans around the world from attending their favourite teams’ matches, and in March 2020 the Swiss government banned fans from going to sports events in response to the pandemic. Consequently, more than 4,000 fans of Zurich’s ZSC Lions ice hockey team held season tickets for games they could no longer see live. As is the case for many sports clubs, season-ticket sales form an integral part of the ZSC Lions’ funding. The “Essence of Lions” giftpack inspired fans to renew their tickets for the next season. And although the small bottles were intended as a collectible memento, that didn’t stop the club inventing a host of fantastical uses for the water they contained, from baptising baby ZSC Lions fans to reviving dead house plants, cleansing rooms of evil spirits, and polishing trophies. The Australian Capital Territory parliament passed a bill in October 2013 that made the territory the first part of Australia to legalize marriage equality. In Canberra, 31 couples were married over a five-day period once the law went into effect, from December 7-12, 2013. But the national government challenged the decision, saying it was inconsistent with Australian federal laws. And Australia's High Court overturned the legislation making all the couples' unions invalid. Transhumance is the seasonal movement where shepherds transfer their livestock from the highest mountains to plaines. During their 30 days trip, shepherds walk hundreds of kilometers by foot. It’s an Eastern European tradition that dates back thousands of years, and even though it’s happening less and less all around the world, one Romanian shepherd still makes the journey twice every year. We based our approach on the universal language: music. Nowadays you can pretty much create and mix music thru your iphone, ipad, and android devices, including phones and tablets. Khadi, the greatest symbol of defiance in India’s freedom movement was born from a handicraft that was hand-woven and hand-spun by villagers across the country. On India’s 70th Independence Day, Turtle, the fashion brand with a conscience which has a Khadi line of fashionable menswear pays tribute to the thread that strung together our freedom. These three 8ft x 5ft string art canvases beautifully captures an iconic picture of freedom connected by nearly 9000 nails holding together over 20 kms of hand-spun thread. These canvases were exhibited in major shopping malls across India and have become permanent displays in Turtle stores. A lot of people don’t know that the city of Toronto has free condoms for anyone, no questions asked. Toronto Public Health keeps the condoms in giant, self-serve bowls at sexual health clinics, community health centres, and colleges and universities across the city. “Life in the bowl” is a series of short cartoons that treat the condoms as characters who live in those bowls. The condoms live their lives, waiting for the inevitable moment they’ll be chosen. They know they’ll be taken at some point—just not exactly when.
