To create talkability for the casting of the new South African Survivor, we executed a Wild Card Entry for 8 South Africans to live on a billboard for three days, competing in challenges and Tribal Council eliminations. When two contestants remained, those voted out as the jury returned to cast their vote for the person they would be sending into the actual show. Prostate cancer is the most common form of cancer in males locally and globally and it’s showing a significant increase in numbers. The problem is, for most men, there’s nothing more terrifying than going for the dreaded ‘finger check’. So much so that prostate cancer, which is highly treatable in its early stages, goes largely undetected until it’s too late. Today though, unbeknownst to most men, the first prostate exam for guys over the age of 40, can be a simple blood test, with ‘the finger’, or Digital Rectal Examination, only playing a role if abnormalities are found. Since 1951, South Africans have loved Volkswagen. In fact, you'll probably find one on every street, road, highway and byway in the country. We were asked to find an innovative way to celebrate the impact that Volkswagen has had on South African streets, and use it to kickstart Volkswagen South Africa's Facebook Page. Volkswagen Street Quest was a Facebook challenge to find as many Volkswagens as possible on South African streets using Google Street View in a custom-designed gaming interface. The game was played over four weeks and the player with the most Pins each week qualified for the Grand Final – a live playoff in which finalists competed for prizes worth R50 000. Every year in South Africa thousands of criminals escape conviction due to people disturbing crime scene evidence. The DNA Project set out to educate the public never to interfere with a crime scene. We created a 6x8m canvas out of small white stones. Onto this we spray painted the giant mugshot of a criminal. As people walked over the installation the criminal's identity became more and more unrecognisable.
