Finnair is the flag carrier and largest airline in Finland. In April 2018, Finnair set out to reinvent their in-flight culinary experience. The background noise inside an airplane affects your taste perception. It enhances umami and bitter tastes, while reducing salty and sweet tastes. This got us thinking, how can we improve the in-flight dining experience and offer true Nordic flavors to passengers on board Finnair flights? We recorded pure, natural sounds from Nordic Lapland with Finnair signature chef Steven Liu. And together with professor of molecular gastronomy Anu Hopia, we turned the recordings into unique soundscapes for each of the dishes served on board flights from Asia. Each soundtrack was made to enhance the flavors of the different dishes. To offer a truly unique Nordic experience wherever you are, we also created a WeChat app for the Chinese audience. Take a picture of your food and advanced image recognition software interprets it and offers you a customized soundtrack for you to enjoy. The Nordic soundscapes will enhance the unique flavors of any recognizable food you are eating. Now, anyone can easily enjoy the taste of the Finnair experience, even on the ground. Cif wanted to introduce a campaign based on the concept of nostalgia. And it On our part, we created a Cif timeline, starting from 1985, the year when it entered Turkey, up until present day. We designed this timeline on a cardboard band, placing hallmark Cif products on it and incorporating Cif's nostalgic commercial music. We produced music boxes of old times that would play the commercial music. We adjusted the cardboard band according to the notes of the commercial music and put the band into the music box. As the music box plays, the journey into the time with Cif has begun. The nostalgia package has been delivered to our most active users on Facebook page and bloggers. Every day, the vital work of German rescue workers is impeded by people taking pictures of accidents. People die, because rescue workers can’t get through, need to block rubbernecking instead of doing their job. Especially since almost no one would admit they are actually doing it. That’s why we wanted to find a way to speak to people directly, without blaming them but shaking them up. Instead of sharing pictures of the accident, the gawkers shared pictures of our message. The stunt and our message not only made it into social media, it even reached Europe’s biggest daily newspaper ‘Bild’, which used it to generate more attention to the problem. To prove it, NOSSA, a Lisbon based agency, created a campaign where you could try to wake him up. The man who only wakes up on Friday, slept in micro website designed for the campaign, where everyone could try hundreds of ways to wake him up: baseball bats, tickles, fire, water, roosters and even a strip tease.
