In our new top-to-bottom rebranding campaign for jewelry retailer Jared, we created something that celebrates devotion in all its forms. The work here depicts vignettes with roles reversed, reimagined and reconstructed in moments of celebration both quiet and exuberant: a nightclub engagement; an unexpected moment of surprise in front of strangers; and a couple’s love creating a blended family in a morning campsite proposal. All proving that the desire to commit ourselves deeply to another person is something we all share, even if the players in every story are different. KnowNo is an awareness project created to clear up the gray area around consent. Starting with a street performance and video leading to a simple online quiz, the campaign delivers an important message to women, men, parents, educators, lawmakers and especially to victims. It further defines what “no” really means, making the fine lines of sexual consent undeniably clear. Humanaut launched an integrated marketing campaign for client Organic Valley, an all-organic cooperative of more than 2000 family farmers producing milk, eggs, cheese, and butter. The campaign aims to build the brand's awareness amid a growing flood of greenwashing and confusing health claims in the food and beverage industry. The new campaign calls out how the competition uses sunny marketing images and vague jargon to cover up for less-than-ideal farming practices. The ads make a sharp contrast between industrial farming practices and the way Organic Valley food is made, on small family farms, without the use of toxic chemicals, hormones, GMOs or antibiotics. Marking the back to school term, Preventable together with BCAA Traffic Safety Foundation and the District of West Vancouver have launched an optical illusion geared to making drivers slow down at high-risk intersections. The optical illusion of an illustrated girl chasing a ball has been placed on the road northbound at 22nd street in West Vancouver. There are signs leading up to it saying "you're probably not expecting kids to run out on the road" to prepare drivers. The installation is meant to draw attention to the risk of children running into the street and was carefully tested before being put in place. It is in place for a few days only and is being monitored as a pilot to ensure pedestrian and driver safety are not risked. The illusion rises up gradually from about 100 feet away as not to surprise drivers, and it fades away by the time a driver approaches.
