On average Radio Hosts of popular radio stations ask their listeners to call-in, text or post, 46 times a day. But in Belgium 80% of the people listen to the radio while driving. Instead of coming up with yet another one-off awareness campaign, we came with a more permanent solution: The Safety Jingle. A short (8 second) audio message radio hosts can play right after they ask their listeners to call, text or tweet, to remind everybody not to use their phone behind the wheel. The Safety Jingle was recorded with the voices of actual parents who lost a child in a road traffic accident and sounded like this: “but please, no phone behind the wheel. A request by Parents of Road Victims. Like us.” The music contains the names of the 155 children who died in a traffic accident last year. Fundraising is broken. More people than ever are in need, but on the street, fundraisers are ignored. Plan Finland supports girls in developing countries and relies on donations. That’s why we created Girls Can, to make helping social and fun again. It's fundraising done friend-to-friend, instead of stranger-to-stranger. Instead of blaming people for not participating in fundraising, we made it something they want to be engaged in. When a person starts a donation can through the Girls Can website, they pay any sum they want to get their Can going. The payment is handled via credit cards or online banking. After donating, they then choose a friend from their Facebook friends and the Can is passed on to them. That friend can pick the can up, put in their donation, and then pass the can on, and so on. By making the donation collection function like a physical object that can only be held by one person at a time, people feel more engaged. Bikes are one of the highest taxed products in Brazil. Over 70% of a bike's price is comprised of taxes. For comparison, cars are taxed at 30%. Furniture prices at 12%. That fact doesn't get enough attention nor outrage between Brazilians for one reason: they just don't know it. To communicate that amongst the bike consumers, we decided to break the law. We created The Outlaw Bike, a bike that pretends to be furniture so it pays less taxes. A product designed to get the attention of all unsuspecting Brazilians. It can be assembled both as a bike and as furniture. When assembled as a bike: 70% taxes. When assembled as furniture: only 12%. It's built with the same parts and the same materials, it's just put together differently. A small difference that makes all the difference. After presenting our bike, we asked bikers and bike lovers just one thing: get off their asses off and do something about it.
