The campaign called “Unsilenced” and was created La Parole aux Sourds with the help of ad agency BETC. It’s the first original song sung entirely through sign language and dance, and features a unique collaboration between electronic duo Haute (who composed the instrumentals) and deaf dancer Billy Read (who wrote the lyrics and performed them in the film through dance).What’s unique about the song is that people won’t realize Billy is singing about how it feels to be isolated in your own country. They’ll think he’s just dancing to the music video until we reveal at the end that he was singing all along. When a standard poster just won’t do to grab the attention of college students, and convince them to get a flu shot. This interactive display was installed over four hours, with 148 tissue boxes, directing students to get a flu shot. What began with hesitation from students to take a tissue, turned into a fun, interactive, and memorable experiential exhibit, and drove traffic to Student Health Services.
