Children in industrialized nations are eating too much fast food and sweets. The result: diabetes and adiposity. To change this FYFFES initiated a global campaign: The “Banana Comic Week 2013”. In collaboration with the famous CARLSEN Comics the comic-hero “FYFE” was developed – a boy who turned into a superhero by eating a banana. For the very first time and with the help of an innovative laser-print technique six different comics were printed on banana skins. The “Banana Comic Week 2013” were a great success in each of the 9 countries and every school and convinced children and parents how delicious and powerful bananas are. Humanaut launched an integrated marketing campaign for client Organic Valley, an all-organic cooperative of more than 2000 family farmers producing milk, eggs, cheese, and butter. The campaign aims to build the brand's awareness amid a growing flood of greenwashing and confusing health claims in the food and beverage industry. The new campaign calls out how the competition uses sunny marketing images and vague jargon to cover up for less-than-ideal farming practices. The ads make a sharp contrast between industrial farming practices and the way Organic Valley food is made, on small family farms, without the use of toxic chemicals, hormones, GMOs or antibiotics. With 8.6 million vehicles in the streets, São Paulo has one of the most intense and chaotic traffic in the world, placing urban mobility as a central issue for the inhabitants. The metropolis is home to 12.2 million people, which lose almost 2 hours every day just to go and come back from work. Not to mention the pollution produced by so many cars and buses. In recent years, cycling has proved to be an important element in solve this issue, especially with more bicycle paths and population awareness. But the geographic question is still a handicap for actual and potential cyclists, since at least 30% of the streets in São Paulo have ups and downs, some of them reaching incredible 45 degrees of inclination. Helping to solve the problem, E-Moving, one of the leading Brazilian companies focused on urban mobility through electric bikes, announces the "Steep Discount" project. Using topography information, the company is offering large discounts for the purchase of energy-using bicycles to make it easier to tackle the steepest climbs in the city. The idea, the strategy and the execution are from the Tribal São Paulo agency, encouraging people to use the bike more as a displacement option. In Vietnam Tet is the biggest holiday of the year stretching across 1-2 weeks. Traditionally everyone goes to their hometown to visit their family. However as Vietnam embraces more progressive thinking there are couples who consider taking this holiday time to rest and recharge instead. As a progressive global brand, Heineken wants to "open your world" to new ways and to challenge routine thinking. But how do we do this without offending or throwing away timeless traditions? To demonstrate that there is a way to stay true to tradition without being traditional, we did a Tet campaign that pranked one unsuspecting husband to open his world, and ultimately his Tet. Experiential advertisement created by Publicis, Vietnam for Heineken, within the category: Alcoholic Drinks.
Simply buckling up could have saved 60 Coloradans in 2016. To show what this number means, CDOT and Amélie created 60 reflective yellow memorial wreaths and placed them one after another on Bandimere Speedway. We gathered footage of the installation and created a video that included an interview with CDOT's traffic safety manager who pointed out that the seat belt usage rate in Colorado is 84%, well below the national average. Holger Forrest also spoke out in the video for seat belt safety as his family lost their daughter last year in a car accident, and had she been wearing her seat belt she would have lived. To push our efforts out even further, we turned seat belts into awareness ribbons. They overlaid the seat belt ribbon onto photos of severely wrecked cars and pushed them out on social. The drivers and passengers of these cars all survived the crashes because they were wearing their seat belts. This campaign helped prove to people that seat belts make survivors. In order to make people (located far away from E-Mart store) do shop at E-Mart, despite the geographical barrier, we created a "flying" store that flies to customers. The E-Mart truck-shaped balloon, equipped with a Wi-Fi router, can fly to every corner of city. Customers can then connect to the Wi-Fi signal and download coupons. That will enable them to immediately buy products using the E-Mart application. The flying store was so popular that even people who didn't shop online visited offline stores. Ambient advertisement created by Cheil, South Korea for E-Mart, within the category: Retail Services.
Late adoption in Brazil is still a rare gesture, which runs up against various myths and prejudices. Today, 92% of children who are waiting for adoption are over 7 years old. However, of the 37,000 parents who want to adopt, only 9% welcome children of that age or older, according to data from the National Justice Council. To raise awareness to this cause, Dermodex brand, a specialist in diaper rashes announce this Friday, on the an experiment carried out with three Brazilian families, which allowed late-adoption parents to see themselves, for the first time, with their children in special moments since their birth day. Export Development Canada (EDC) helps businesses take on the world, playing a critical role in Canadian economic development. From the onset of the COVID-19 crisis, EDC has been working alongside federal partners, including BDC and other Canadian financial institutions, to provide support to both exporting and non-exporting companies. Many of the companies EDC helped had to pivot hard and transform their businesses in response to COVID-19. Now, these businesses are using that experience to grow. A new campaign from EDC and McCann Montreal showcases their success. “If the past year has taught us anything, it’s that despite challenges, Canadians businesses are resilient.” said Daniel Boisvert, Vice President, Marketing and Digital Channels at Export Development Canada. “This campaign shows us how the shift in the way we do business has not only been why these businesses have survived, but how they’ve been able to grow moving forward.” In July 2020, Export Development Canada and McCann Montreal launched ‘Business as Unusual,’ a campaign born in the face of the pandemic, to celebrate and support the Canadian businesses forced to pivot to keep themselves afloat. Now, a year later, what became a pivot out of necessity has evolved in to how we move business forward. In light of this, EDC set out to inspire Canadian businesses to leave survival mode behind and adjust to our next normal through new market discovery with the launch of ‘The Unusual Way Forward’. The campaign features three stories from EDC customers -- Poseidon Ocean Systems, ThinkOn Inc., and Kinova Robotics -- showcasing the success they had by embracing new opportunities this last year. Knowing that many Canadian CEOs are confident in company growth in the coming years, ‘The Unusual Way Forward’ aims to motivate and inspire companies to get back to growth and build back better. “We’re proud to partner once again with Export Development Canada to spotlight how Canadians, and Canadian businesses, have built back better.” said Michelle Aboud, SVP Managing Director, McCann Montreal. “We hope these stories help to inspire and reenergize the Canadian entrepreneurial spirit.” Film advertisement created by McCann, Canada for Export Development Canada, within the category: Industrial, Agriculture.
The campaign called “Unsilenced” and was created La Parole aux Sourds with the help of ad agency BETC. It’s the first original song sung entirely through sign language and dance, and features a unique collaboration between electronic duo Haute (who composed the instrumentals) and deaf dancer Billy Read (who wrote the lyrics and performed them in the film through dance). What’s unique about the song is that people won’t realize Billy is singing about how it feels to be isolated in your own country. They’ll think he’s just dancing to the music video until we reveal at the end that he was singing all along.
