The survival rate of skin cancer is around 91% for White people. But what about other skin colors? Well, that’s when you start to see the survival rate plummet, for Black people especially down to 65%. The reason? Skin cancer tends to be diagnosed at a later stage, and as a result with a worse prognosis. We believe, the more you know your body, the faster you can spot skin cancer. Introducing a self-love guide on blackandbrownskin.co.uk for people of color to explore their bodies for skin cancer in collaboration with 21 Grams. Market-leading cashback site TopCashback has unveiled its biggest campaign to date, as it seeks to sign up new members. The push is the first to be developed in partnership with NOW, which it appointed as its lead creative agency without a pitch in May 2021. With the core objectives of further growing the appeal of cashback as a way of saving money, and generating new, active members, NOW has partnered with TopCashback to develop “Hmmmingbird”. The TV spot features a cute hummingbird character from the TopCashback logo. With suggestive ‘hmmmmm’s’ and sweet expressions, the hummingbird is there to give you an unusual yet friendly nudge to remind you to shop through TopCashback to save yourself some money. The ad aims to demonstrate how TopCashback is on the side of its members, lending a helping hand to get them rewards for their everyday spending. To make TopCashback’s message memorable and stand out in an ad break, NOW chose to create the ad using stop motion animation. Directed by Adeena Grubb and Andy Biddle at Blinkink, the spot combines charm and craft, featuring a painstakingly created hand-sewn set and characters. For National Savings month we tackled the culture of conspicuous spending on social media (a key reason people get into debt). We took two of the biggest celebs in South Africa (who were notorious for displaying their wealth) and secretly agreed with them to start posting a radically low budget lifestyle on their social channels. The media, not realising it was a campaign, went crazy with speculation that they had “gone broke”. And then we revealed the truth. In the middle of the technological universe of the 21st century, every moment, every landscape or situation is recorded by the lens of a photographic camera, whether it is professional, amateur or smartphones. This moment is even more important when the access to these resources becomes democratic and easily to all. In this concept, Artplan had turned a book jacket advertising of Metro Newspaper into a Pinhole, a camera without lens. The purpose of the action was to communicate the Metro Photo Challenge and the winners of 2017 Metro Newspaper photography contest in Brazil and worldwide, as well as encouraging participation for 2018 edition. "We started from the concept that in the contest, the world's most democratic photo shoot, even those who do not have a camera, can use the newspaper to create their own and participate", says Zico Farina, Artplan Creative Director. The communication contemplated a book jacket advertising in São Paulo city. In order to disclose the action, two films were produced: the first one invites a professional photographer and a "non-photographer" to create a Pinhole and perform the best clicks with the equipment. The results can be checked in Metro Newspaper’s social networks. The second film brings a tutorial on how to set up your own Pinhole. Metro Newspaper is freely distributed in more than 21 countries, reaching an estimated audience of more than 16 million people. We transformed the country's main billboards into remote interactive billboards.Consumers were invited to enter their names (just once) via a special Coca Cola smartphone app. The location-based app was able to identify the consumers as they approached the billboard and transmitted their names automatically to the billboards. Using geo-fence technology, whenever a consumer approached the billboard, they received a message to their smartphones notifying them that their name was up there. The app ranked #1 in Israel's app store as of day one, and kept that position throughout the entire campaign period, with a total of 100K downloads.

Advertising agency barrettSF concludes its multimedia marketing campaign with a video showcasing prolific WWE® Superstars to launch this year’s release in the popular WWE® 2K video game franchise. WWE® 2K19 released October 9 for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X, and Windows PC. The theme of the campaign – “Never Say Never” – is brought to life in the ad through the backstories of the featured WWE Superstars, highlighting their improbable individual journeys to WWE stardom. The commercial is the last in a series of four, all of which are tied together with the “Never Say Never” theme. The prior three ads showcased WWE Superstars “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey and Daniel Bryan, as well as former WWE Champion Rey Mysterio. But, in this final chapter of the campaign, a broad array of WWE Superstars are on prominent display. From an unlikely ascension of the shorter-statured Rey Mysterio in a land of giants, to former reality star The Miz’s crossover success, to the redemption story of WWE 2K19 cover Superstar AJ Styles, the campaign highlights how each WWE Superstar overcame the odds in visually distinctive ways. The ad broke on October 1 and will air globally on broadcast, as well as on a variety of digital and social platforms. “There’s no instruction manual for how to make it in WWE, and ultimately WWE 2K19,” said Todd Eisner, creative director at barrettSF. “Every WWE Superstar’s story is different, yet each has one thing in common – they were all told they’d never make it. It’s fun to celebrate those who make their dreams come true, especially when the dream is as wild as becoming a WWE Superstar.” barrettSF began its relationship with 2K for the launch of WWE® 2K15 in 2014, making this their fifth year of campaign partnership. An unbuckled passenger can increase your chance of being seriously injured or killed in a car crash by 40 percent – even if you are buckled up. The Colorado Department of Transportation asked Amélie to bring new life to their “Beware of the Beltless” campaign, now in its third year, to raise awareness about the dangers posed by unbuckled occupants. To spread this message, we partnered with Lyft to give customers a ride they wouldn’t forget. Cue lifeguard. There’s not a lot for him to do in the winter months, so he continues to guard lives by moonlighting as a Lyft driver, encouraging people to buckle up. A lifeguard sitting in the car was an unexpected surprise for our passengers, but so were the shocking statistics he shared about seat belt use in Colorado. Footage of the lifeguard’s interactions with passengers was captured via hidden camera and turned into a series of videos. The videos will run on social and digital media throughout the month of March to spread these important messages statewide. This entertaining take on an important topic caught the attention of local media, resulting in over a dozen news stories, and touched the lives of participants and viewers alike. Against a backdrop of nuclear programs, forced labor camps, and an infamous, brutal dictator, thousands of North Koreans make their escape. Their stories go largely untold – a cause that people across the globe could actually affect. So, we needed a new way to break through all of the noise coming out of North Korea – a way that flips the script and gets people talking about the North Korean refugee crisis. So, we enlisted the help of the glorious leader himself, Kim Jong-Un. Kim Jong-Un took to major job search sites and announced unlimited job openings in North Korea – job openings that anyone in the world could apply for. In case anyone doubted Kim, we populated his LinkedIn profile to include achievements like his sanctioned nuclear plants and child labor programs and also a commercial for his recruitment campaign. For his cabinet, Kim got on Twitter and hand-selected his picks – picks like Leonardo DiCaprio as the Minister of Environment. But, in the end, every applicant was actually redirected to a landing page for Liberty in North Korea, a non-profit aimed at helping North Korean refugees. LinkedIn shut down the campaign after seven days. But, in those seven days, donations to LiNK were up 427% with new visitors contributing 42% of the total. Over 50 news outlets picked up the story further expanding our reach. Best of all, we did it with virtually no spent media. The headline in Russian has a play on words: the first meaning is 'outplay your life' and at the same time it means 'change your life'. TBWA\Moscow, The Russian Chess Federation, with the support of Anatoly Karpov and the Federal Penitentiary Service of Ryazan have come out in support of prisoners already on the road to rehabilitation and hosted a chess tournament between several prisons. The finalists have been given a chance for early release. The idea of a prisoners’ chess tournament was developed by the creative agency TBWA\ Moscow, on the request of the Russian Chess Federation. The concept of the campaign is communicated in the slogan, “Play for your life”; participation in a chess tournament as a way of receiving a letter of recommendation. TBWA\ Moscow developed the campaign based on the status of chess as an intellectual sport, one that makes the player think several moves ahead and assess the likely outcome of his decisions. These qualities form an essential part of the rehabilitation process for those in correctional facilities. Any prisoner, regardless of their level of experience, could participate in the tournament. The only condition for entry was a desire to turn their lives around and engage in the rehabilitation process. All short films were shot on location in the Pre-trial Detention Centre, which helped communicate a real idea of the prisoners’ daily environment.
