Amidst all apps which promise to deliver to the moon, which we can't. We deliver where we can best.
India, the land of a thousand gods and goddesses is facing a devil of its own. Fuelled by rumours, borne of intolerance and spread on social media, incidents of hate crimes across the country are on the rise. And a mere mobile phone in one’s hand has now become the most dreadful weapon of destruction. Leading to hundreds of innocent people falling victim and losing their lives to these mindless cases of ‘mob lynching’ over the last few years. Turtle, one of India’s most progressive fashion brands partnered with Wunderman Thompson to raise awareness around this menacing social evil looming large in the country. For this, the agency chose the perfect platform - social media, where such issues thrive and are spread to create havoc. And the ideal occasion - Durga Puja, the country’s most celebrated religious festival was picked to release the film. And then, on Mahalaya, the auspicious day that marks the arrival of Goddess Durga, the Goddess of Power, this intriguing film was launched. Needing around 3 months of painstaking animation, every frame of this 2min 17sec film is a bed of fabric with photo-realistic textures and patterns. Animated meticulously and layered with a goose-bumping soundtrack this film builds a dystopian, avant-garde world of evil with a noir feel. The essence of the message is delivered in a way never seen before and the threads of peace and harmony is woven in the hearts of every viewer. In the chaos of life, we often forget who we are and what the calling of our soul is. Sometimes all we need to do is, take a step back and introspect. This is exactly what fuelled our latest project ‘Home’ for Royal Enfield - it makes us ponder about the very nature of our existence, and question if we are missing a point when we say we need to go the distance. Maybe sometimes going forward could also mean taking a step back - to our roots.
Inspired by the real-life story of Gowri and how the use of AI technology and Tele-Health, a part of AkzoNobel's E-Health initiative, prevents her from becoming a school dropout. Instead of showing Gowri's struggles through rose coloured glasses, we paid more attention to the harsh realities and the helplessness of a specific community. With a budget of under ten lacks, a considerably minimal amount in the advertising industry, our AkzoNobel advert was shot and produced with the motive of educating the masses on AkzoNobel's Corporate Social Responsibility. AkzoNobel has provided effective healthcare to more than 4000 villages near Bengaluru, India, to make a positive contribution to the betterment of the lives of the communities we serve in. The short film is a portrait of Varanasi, the holiest of India’s seven sacred cities and a place where devout Hindus go to die in hopes of achieving Moksha - becoming liberated from the cycle of rebirth. Hindu scriptures say that a soul has to undergo 8.4 million rebirths before reaching the human form and dying in Varanasi and being cremated along the banks of the river is believed to be the ideal way of achieving Moksha. When children hear stories, they use them to make sense of the world. It shapes how they think and affects choices they make even later in life. Most fairytales we’ve grown up with reiterate toxic gender roles by conditioning kids to think girls must be beautiful and docile while boys must be strong and violent, or they're simply not good enough. If we want to change how kids see themselves, we need to change the narrative of stories they're being told. Presenting Plot Twist - an AI-based personalised and interactive storytelling experience with Alexa on Amazon FreeTime. Our little reminder to kids that they can be whoever they want to be.
