Jamin, the largest candy store in the Netherlands we introduced ChocoTweets. We changed a tweet poem into real 140 chocoletters during the Sinterklaas period. Sinterklaas (Saint Nicholas)is the Dutch version of Santa Claus and visits Holland by boat every year. Children receive chocolate letters, small presents and everyone – young and old – writes each other Saint Nicholas poems. This year Jamin made the Saint Nicholas poem extra special, and more importantly, extra yummy. Because Jamin transforms your Saint Nicholas poem into a delicious ChocoTweet. With this interactive installation the aim was to break down any boundaries between the festival, Down The Rabbit Hole, and the crowd, by designing a mist installation that is as curious about you as you are about her. When you look at the installation, she looks back. If you give her attention, she will flourish in psychedelica. If you shout, she echoes back and if you dance with her, she will dance with you. The more the crowd shouted into the ears of one of the periscopes, the brighter and more enticing the trippy animations in the misty cloud became.

This culinary escape room features foody puzzles, a laser-protected chamber and crafty Albert Heijn-inspired components. For instance, the exit is locked with the brands’ quintessential shopping cart locks. Each episode a different team of friends puzzle, chop and prepare a new tasty dish against the clock in a contest to escape the fastest. The American author Dan Brown recently visited Amsterdam to promote his new bestseller Inferno. Online retailer bol.com believes it is possible to create a more intimate experience online and therefore asked Dan Brown to take part in the first online signing session of his career. The Da Vinci Code author agreed to take part in this exclusive signing session straight away. During a chat session, a select group of people were able to chat to the author one at a time, and ask him to sign a copy of Inferno. There was a special, limited-edition copy of the book for the occasion. Ad agency DDB Brussels came up with the idea for the online signing session and bol.com had already used it successfully during the Antwerp Book Fair. At this event, bol.com customers could have their books signed during a chat session with bestselling authors, including Jeroen Meus and Luc Deflo. The promotion gave online shopping a sense of intimacy for the first time. It was a success, so an online signing session has now been held in the Netherlands too.
