The idea behind it is to show that people can have more real fun in bed by not being distracted by mobile phones. When you use Nivea’s Invisible for Black & White deodorant, your black and white clothing stays black and white. To prove this, we designed an exclusive black & white dress, handmade and co-designed with fashion designer Tony Cohen. On the 5th of April a portrait of a man in black 17th-century clothing with a white collar and a hat was unveiled in front of a packed auditorium. The painting was created using data from Rembrandt’s total body of work using deep learning algorithms and facial recognition techniques. The portrait consists of over 148 million pixels, based on 168,263 painting fragments from Rembrandt’s oeuvre. Blurring the boundaries between art and technology, this artwork is intended to fuel the conversation about the relationship between art and algorithms, between data and human design and between technology and emotion. Through telling the story of a birdwatcher and his excitement about it, Nikon wanted to communicate how Nikon’s new MONARCH binoculars actually bring more joy to outdoor activity in general. On a higher level Nikon wanted every viewer to discover the world of birding as it is much more than just watching birds. Roel Boorsma, the director from Smarthouse Commercials, captured it all: The intimate, sophisticated, down-to-earth passion for nature and freedom. The film was shot in the Julian Alps in Slovenia, a mainly unknown and untouched piece of heaven in Europe. Boorsma travelled through the outskirts of the Italian and Austrian Alps alongside British birdwatcher Steve Waite.
