People in Russia talk and text on their phones while driving. We’re used to it, nothing strange. Radio stations provoke this behavior. Every station has a call-in show where listeners are calling or texting to win presents or just to say hi to their friends. Smartphone using is the second, after alcohol consumption, human factor causing car accidents. Despite a common opinion, hands-free devices offer no safety benefit when driving. Driving while talking on cell phones – handheld and hands-free – increases risk of crashes fourfold. The number is even bigger for texting and using apps. SM Polis Insurance is fighting against this dangerous habit with live radio broadcast of “car crashes”. 18 radio stations refused to join the action; they only cared about ratings and public image. So we had just one: Novoe Radio. Together with a popular call-in radio show we demonstrated what can happen if you use a phone while driving. When a presenter was getting a call from someone who was driving at the moment, he immediately disconnected the call and put on air the sounds of a car crash. After a moment of scary silence the presenter revealed it was not a real crash and explained the danger of using phones while driving. The first results came just in a couple of days. We were getting less and less calls from the drivers. The story was featured in media. After that the other radio stations changed their mind and joined the action to protect their listeners. People are now stopping to make a call to the show. Audio advertisement created by Voskhod, Russia for SM Polis Insurance, within the category: Finance.

The campaign #моеместосилы (#myplaceofpower) asks users to share what places inspire them. The central element of the campaign was a video with legendary Kostya Tszyu. As a part of this UAZ has made made a website http://patriot2017.uaz.ru/, and in November the brand will start a special project about different places of power in Russia and how to get there. Also in November a social network contest will be launched: after posting a picture of their place of power and telling about it with a hashtag, users get an opportunity to win a special prize from the brand. Megaday – a company that produces energy marmalade – together with Possible Group has launched a fun and a little absurd video called «Non-human Energy Resource» about the main feature of the product – energy. Video creators have turned upside down a popular cliché about waking up: the main hero – in this case a dog – is having a nice dream, but then it is woken up by a very energetic person who decides to take the dog for a walk. More than meets the eye – this motto is one of the main principles of the Transformers universe. It’s not that easy to play the game where fiction becomes part of a reality in ALL brand communications. But we did it. We live in the world where images, video and sound rule, we observe how text formats become obsolete. We get used to new formats in all possible spheres… And we can hardly find anything as boring as time-honored radio commercials… But what if we HACK them? ...And break the air by one of the most iconic sounds for today’s progressive audience — the voice of Optimus Prime! ...And the date of the hack coincides with the most important media event in Russia – the president’s call-in show. On 15th June 2017 we organized numerous broadcast breaks on 3 leading radiostations in Russia – Maximum, DFM and Hit FM. The audience reacted immediately: the official pages of the radio stations in social media were flooded with comments asking what was going on. Journalists noticed our activity too – the interruption of radio broadcast with strange sound can hardly stay unnoticed. And, of course, the linked it to another event of the day – the President’s call-in show! Thus Transformers hacked not only the air of 3 radio stations, but many, many more major media. We got mentioned in 250 media and popular communities in social networks. Yandex.News – Russia’s major news aggregator – ranged our case as TOP news on Science and tech. The overall campaign reach exceeded 100,000,000. And what’s even more important… once again we reminded our audience that transformers are more than meets the eye. In late June the Moscow Raceway saw the Russian phase of the legendary DTM race for the 5th time. The Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters series was created by German automobile manufacturers in 2000, and since then such market giants as BMW, Audi and Mercedes measure each other’s innovative capacities in their own racing tour. Today DTM is the most popular touring car competition in Europe. The Moscow event saw over 30,000 visitors. During the latest competition DEPARTÁMENT was responsible for BMW presence. To do this, the agency’s team built a breathtakingly creative pavilion. We put the new BMW M4 Coupe Competition on a huge construction roof consisting of multiple lines. We bound it in two planes and made a clear impression that the car was driving along a track, appearing right out of a curve. In the pavilion painted in BMW’s series M three signature colors we created a lot of interactive hype. No wonder our pavilion became the most visited site out of three – the guests got a figurative shot of adrenaline, emotions and entertainment at the show. In the midst of a “cold season”, we have launched an advertising campaign promoting Polyoxidonium, a medicine for cold and flu. During the exacerbation of viral diseases, many people stay home and lie in bed watching TV shows and new films, so the central element was a video stylized as a trailer for a catastrophe movie. We announced a new catastrophe film telling about a real flu apocalypse that worsens without Polyoxidonium! As part of the campaign, we supplemented the video with placements that are non-traditional for the pharmaceutical market: ad-trailer was shown on popular sites for online film watching and in thematic film communities on Vkontakte. The site of Kinopoisk was also branded. Dimensional constructions, posters and flyers stylized to match the announcements of the new film were placed in the Cinema Park and Formula kino movie theaters. The new Audi A5 Coupé premiere became the world’s first automobile launch event employing real-time motion tracking technology. The car’s advantages were presented in an innovative show “Artificial Intelligence vs YOU». Inspired by the global campaign “If Artificial Intelligence could dream, it would dream of the new Audi A5”, the agency demonstrated a man’s main advantage over Artificial Intelligence — Artificial Intelligence is able to set the standard and create an ideal car but it will never sit behind the steering wheel of its creation. The creative concept “AI vs YOU” was the main theme of the event and the reference point for the script of the show where real-time motion tracking technology was used. Acting as the author and the main character of its own presentation, the car effortlessly controlled the 3D mapping scenario by driving around the projected area. Special sensors were attached to the car to detect its precise location in the 500 sq.m space and to connect it to the live synchronization and rendering system creating impressive video content and controlling light fixtures in real time. In Russia, some car owners conceal parts of their number plates with various things: scraps of paper, compact discs, maple leaves and other contraptions. They do it to avoid paying for parking or to avoid fines for wrong parking. But this may be deemed unlawful, and then these owners may be held accountable. Placing a lawyer’s card instead of the things people use to conceal their number plates. All number plates in Russia feature only those letters that the Cyrillic and Latin alphabets have in common, so we placed the Cyrillic «Я» (“ya”) letter on one side of the card, and contact information – on the other side. Using the «Я» letter made a non-existing number plate from the concealed one that owners were making. In this manner we told them about the services of a lawyer who can help with traffic litigation without causing potential trouble for the owners.
