Joe Public United identified that Always, South Africa’s leading feminine hygiene product, has a programme called Always Keeping Girls in School. This programme provides donations of sanitary pads, as well as empowering educational talks on feminine hygiene and puberty. BOS Ice Tea’s latest offering comes in the form of a viral video shot and produced by Tonic Africa, South Africa. The spot features their energy variant BOS Energy – a healthy, lightly sparkled organic Rooibos ice tea, with a natural cranberry flavour that gives you juice – without the nervous edge. The spot follows two energetic youths on their way to play a game of basketball. One of the guys finishes off a BOS Energy drink and casually tosses the can into a nearby bin. An inquisitive bee finds the drink irresistible and disappears into the can for a taste. After a few sips, the bee starts buzzing ferociously until it lifts the can under it’s newly found energy and flies away with it. Life isn’t the perfect montage of morning moments that most coffee brands would have us believe – this is especially true for the South African youth, who today more than ever, take on more and more in hopes to live a better life than their parents. So when Nescafé Classic wanted to reposition themselves as a strong coffee to help the youth get through their day, we wanted to show them that to stay strong through their grind, they need a grind that is just as strong. Since 1951, South Africans have loved Volkswagen. In fact, you'll probably find one on every street, road, highway and byway in the country. We were asked to find an innovative way to celebrate the impact that Volkswagen has had on South African streets, and use it to kickstart Volkswagen South Africa's Facebook Page. Volkswagen Street Quest was a Facebook challenge to find as many Volkswagens as possible on South African streets using Google Street View in a custom-designed gaming interface. The game was played over four weeks and the player with the most Pins each week qualified for the Grand Final – a live playoff in which finalists competed for prizes worth R50 000. Stimorol gum needed to distribute 40,000 packs of Orange Mint samples in a way that would leverage their brand, give them great exposure and create a memorable stunt. Letting the comedy speak for itself, Slim purposely chose to avoid too many tricksy morphs and let editor Ricky Boyd work his magic, allowing the cut to reveal the change from cool Cape-Town-land to uncool-place-of-no-return, after our guy mistakenly strays beyond the signal of Good Hope. The concept proves that those wine-guzzling rascals can laugh at themselves after all. We didn't actually get to interview any of them but we'd imagine that if we did, they'd say something like, "It's, like, the truth.
