Telenor, one of the biggest telecommunication companies in Northern and Central Europe, believes how we communicate with each other truly has an effect on how we see ourselves. To create a more equal platform for social media, they created the See Myself app, an emoji set that shows females in leadership roles, all kinds of professions, sports, being different, being brave, conquering science, space, and generally winning at life. Telenor believes the empowerment of girls has to be universal, therefore the emojis come in different skin colours and embrace disabilities.

“Christmas Special” leverages stop motion animation to bring the Spokeslistener, Snowman and woodland creatures to life in Claymation (think classic Christmas movie Rudolph Saves Christmas). Unlike live action commercial shoots that usually wrap in a day or two, capturing stop motion animation can take weeks or months of filming to complete, as it involves manipulating three-dimensional objects in minute increments, at 24 frames per second. To highlight what it took to produce this unique spot, we put together a “Behind the Scenes” video that includes commentary from agencies, HouseSpecial and Camp+King, and DISH’s CMO Jay Roth. Check it out here. Film advertisement created by Camp + King, United States for DISH, within the category: Electronics, Technology.

This is an advertisement for a brand of spice which is commonly used in the western part of India. It is a blend of many spices. As most of you may know, India is a hot pot of cultures and cuisines and tastes with people, languages and food changing with every passing kilometer. Even in a state like Maharashtra, which is one of the largest states in India, each and every city has a different spice mix. The USP of this spice blend was that no matter what you cook, you only need to add this 'single' spice blend to make it tasty. So whether you cook different things for different members of the family, you can use this spice for each recipe without adding anything else. So, we, at Boing, decided to stay away from the usual cooking and hassled mother and went a bit into our history, and into the Royal kitchens at the time of the Mahabharata (the Royal Indian Epic). In our story, Draupadi, the queen with 5 husbands is complaining that she has a hard time while cooking because each of her husbands wants to eat something different. Her aunt-in-law, Gandhaari, mother to over 100 kids (who has blindfolded herself because her husband is also blind) reveals to her that she uses Suruchi Goda Masala for her cooking. She doesn't need anything other spice, making cooking much less of a hassle. We created this commercial in a typical Indian Folk song and dance format of Laavani (a folk song style from the West Indian state of Maharashtra). We enjoyed writing and making this commercial and we certainly home you feel the same. Film advertisement created by Boing, India for Suruchi Goda Masala, within the category: Food.

Women have overcome many obstacles within the workplace, but unfortunately, gender inequality persists. A recent study in Puerto Rico shows that only 15% of women achieve a leadership role in their workplace. To create awareness about gender inequality on Women's Day, we used our beloved Big Mac to send a powerful message, by giving men their burgers with only 15% of the portion. Advertising agency Humanaut launched a national ad campaign for Brooklyn, New York based home furnishings retailer West Elm. The integrated effort debuted Oct. 9 and features a 30-second TV commercial, five 15-second web spots, banner ads and social media. This is West Elm’s first-ever TV campaign and Humanaut’s first work for the brand. Get “House Proud” is about celebrating those seemingly small moments in your life that actually feel like huge victories on your journey to expressing your personal style at home, as an adult. In the tongue-in-cheek TV spot, a narrator leads viewers through a series of slow-motion scenes where homes—and West Elm customers—are transformed by key furniture pieces, such as a mid-century modern dresser, white-linen sofa and a sustainably sourced coffee table. “People suddenly think they should take their shoes off when they walk in to your house,” she notes as a host appears bewildered by her guest’s gesture. In another scene, a woman relishes her new living room piece as we’re told: “Your couch has another couch for your feet—it’s called a chaise.” Social media will carry the hashtag #mywestelm, which customers regularly use when sharing pictures of their homes proudly featuring their West Elm furniture and decor. “There comes a moment in everyone’s life when they buy an item for their home that gives them a true sense of pride—it’s like you've crossed over and finally become an adult,” said David Littlejohn, Humanaut’s Chief Creative Director. “We wanted to capture those genuine moments and encourage everyone to get ‘House Proud’ thanks to West Elm's affordable assortment of modern, artful designs, handcrafted pieces and sustainably sourced products.” West Elm is a member of the Williams-Sonoma, Inc. portfolio of brands. Headquartered in Brooklyn, NY, West Elm harnesses the power of design and human connection to enrich lives. Everything West Elm does is designed to make an impact, from creating unique, affordable designs for modern living, and commitments to Fair Trade Certified, from LOCAL and handcrafted products to community-driven collaborations and events. It currently operates 103 stores in the U.S., Canada, UK and Australia, ships internationally to customers worldwide and has unaffiliated franchisees operating stores in Mexico, the Middle East, Philippines and South Korea. Film advertisement created by Humanaut, United States for West Elm, within the category: House, Garden.
