Fernando Pessoa is an absolute icon in Portugal. Although he was only acknowledged as such after his death in 1935, at the age of just 47, nowadays he’s considered by many to be one of the greatest poets that ever lived. The American critic Harold Bloom, even places him in the 20th Century Western Literature canon, alongside names such as Shakespeare and Kafka. However, besides being a poet, he was also a philosopher, playwright, essayist, translator, astrologer, advertising copywriter (he created the first brand signature for Coca-Cola in Portugal), inventor, business correspondent, literary critic, political commentator and — plot twist — screenwriter. Something that very few people knew until now. Cut to 2021 where, almost 100 years later and for the first time in cinema history, one of his movies is taken into production. Based on the manuscript “Note for a thriller, or film”, 'The Idol' is the first film written by Fernando Pessoa and it was directed by Pedro Varela and entirely shot with a Samsung Galaxy S21. https://www.samsung.com/pt/idol/ Content advertisement created by Uzina, Portugal for Samsung, within the category: Electronics, Technology.

This may look like something from a sci-fi movie, but it is not. It is very real. Denim manufacturer Azgard9 has developed a sustainable garment that produces Oxygen, in what is seen by the brand as the “garment of the future”. The garment called “CO2AT”, was produced as part of Azgard9’s recent repositioning “Future Before Fashion”, focused on the development of products and solutions with low impact on the environment. Developed in partnership with Post Carbon Lab, in London, the CO2AT is a living being. Its hoodie is treated with microbial pigmentation, so actually behaving like a plant by using photosynthetic microorganisms – a process by which plants take in carbon dioxide and turn it into glucose and oxygen. Therefore, during its life cycle, it releases oxygen, improving the immediate environment of the wearer, due to its living cells coating. During its life cycle, the poncho neutralizes the impact of its production, improves the immediate environment of the wearer and produces approximately the same amount of O2 as an oak tree. Reading out loud for others can be a scary thing for children. They are often met with prejudice and comments. We wanted to show them that they are good enough as they are and lift them up. Therefore we invited them to participate in what they thought was a normal audition to be a host at ARK’s annual children books award. What they didn’t know was that we had a surprise for them at the end. Film advertisement created by Something Good, Norway for ARK BookStore, within the category: Recreation, Leisure.

In China, the PM 2.5 AQI levels are broadcasted every day and often falls to unhealthy levels. While the figures are worrying, we asked ourselves what we could do to make monitoring the levels less distressing and more entertaining? So we collaborated with Kobayashi Pharmaceutical (a famous fog mask maker) and gamify this behavior to create The World’s First RM2.5 Entertainment; Air Pollution Discount. The idea is very simple: the higher the AQI levels, the greater the mask discounts! The discounts are determined based on your location around China, and you get them when you access the mobile site with your smartphone. Hence, when the AQI levels change every hour, you get different mask discounts all over China! A new sea food brand was created and put on the shelves of supermarkets in Anapa, a coastal city. However, instead of actual food there was a rubbish, caught in the sea off the coast in Anapa. A sea cocktail of tins, Black sea mix of plastic bottles, cigarette stubs as sea bulls and a seafood salad with plastic bags – all this could be found on the shelves in shops during the campaign which ended with a city-wide community work day. The design of the package was created using the most frequent rubbish found in sea – plastic bottles, cups and bags, cigarette stubs and tins. This rubbish was put through a linocut after being colored with typographic colors. Final images were photoshopped and used in the packaging.
