Nike is to pay tribute to the soccer player Ronaldo on his farewell a friendly between Brazil’s national squad and Romania. Created by F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, the clip Before and After depicts how the player split the world of football into two eras: before Ronaldo and after Ronaldo. In the 60”clip, we see the differentials of the Phenomenon, including his rapid-style play and technique, which influenced thousands of new players and fans alike, and gave Brazilian football unprecedented visibility. The airing accompanies the hashtag #prasemprefenomeno (phonemenaforever), created early this year when Ronaldo announced his retirement. The hashtag was a hit at the time, reaching first place in the Trend Topics Brasil within just hours, and topping the world Trend Topics minutes later, following the player’s official announcement. The campaign, in simple words, was all about having customers push a cardio-customised shopping cart around a grocery store as part of their shopping experience, and observing changes in their health and fitness-related behavior. The cart was placed in stores delivering an explicit brand encounter, while a digital film was an online tool to further communicate Lipton Green Tea’s ‘Live Good’ message – a low-effort, high-benefit metaphor for its green tea product. Rivers in Bulgaria are highly polluted and fish species are disappearing rapidly. To raise awareness and get people to sign a European petition for strict water legislation we’ve made a disappearing fishing wobbler. It dissolves in water with only the skeleton of the wobbler remaining, featuring the web address of the campaign site, where visitors are asked to sign the petition. We sent prototypes to fishermen to test it for themselves, driving buzz and initial traffic to the web site. Volkswagen used YouTube’s resources and technology, which are part of users’ everyday life, in a simple and straightforward way to show the difference its innovations make in people’s lives. The film shows a man walking on the streets and inviting you to see how good it would be if the future could be predicted. For that all you need to do is place the mouse on YouTube’s play bar at the point he specifies. When that is done, you can see a frame of the film that hasn’t happened yet. In it we see a strange scene that has nothing to do with the rest: a biker in free fall. A few seconds later, he carries on walking and steps to the side. Then we see the biker from the frame fall right next to him and standing up very fast. He cleans the dust of his jacket. Our man ends by saying this is how Side Assist works: a feature that avoids accidents by showing other vehicles when they are in the side mirror’s blind spot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eX5z8D36dLM Digital advertisement created by BBDO, Brazil for Volkswagen, within the category: Automotive.

Bullying prevention social activist Monica Lewinsky has launched a new PSA which serves as a powerful exploration of bullying by recasting the issue and asking the question: “If this behavior is unacceptable in real life, why is it so normal online?” The film, created by BBDO New York, portrays people publicly acting out real online comments to illustrate that at the receiving end of every comment is a real person – a fact all too easy to forget in today’s online culture.

As Flirt.com conducted research and interviewed users, they discovered a common behavior pattern. For many it is easier to break the ice online than to start a conversation face-to-face, especially in the fast-paced settings of social encounters. That is why online dating can serve as the perfect first step to meeting new people. Admittedly, Flirt.com focuses on the easy going side of dating, offering its users many ways to strike up conversations and make quick connections.

In assuring us that ‘History Will Be Made’, the BBC’s 2018 campaign provides a timely reminder of football’s greatest tournament and why we love it. The campaign, created by BBC Creative with BBC Sport Marketing and animated by Blinkink, journeys through World Cup history via the skill of Diego Maradona, the flair of Zinedine Zidane and the emotion of Paul Gascoigne, to a preview of the most exciting talents of this year’s finals including Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Harry Kane. Animated launch film The Tapestry, directed by Nicos Livesey, takes us on a journey through iconic moments from the competition’s illustrious past, and introduces us to the faces that will surely create memories this time around. The team have modernized the traditional tapestry technique by creating a dynamic film in which every single frame has been individually embroidered. More than 227,000 metres of thread were used to create over 600 unique frames of tapestry, that if laid end-to-end would measure over 1,200 metres in length.
