As the 2021/22 football season commences, Screwfix is entering its eighth year as a football sponsor on Sky Sports across the UK and Ireland. As an extra touch this year, the retailer will also be adding Soccer AM to its sponsorship line-up alongside Sky Sports, Quest, and S4C, offering a nine-month campaign full of humour, positivity, and a real celebration of the sport. Whilst last year’s sponsorship focused on enjoying football at home during the pandemic, this year’s idents focus on returning to some sense of normality, and celebrating a job well done for both the audience and the players. The light-hearted spots begin with real-life scenarios of tradespeople finishing their work, before a sponsorship board slides into the background of the scene, and a voice-over asks them about the work they’ve just completed - reminiscent of a post-match interview. Turkey is on the brink of serious water shortage, and the brand has launched a huge campaign calling everyone to start saving for future generations. One of the most evident signs of this shortage is the water levels in the lakes, where water levels have seriously dropped. So we have studied the topography of 5 lakes (Seyfe, Suğla, Ilgın, Karataş and Burdur Lakes) and turned their shapes into glasses, each glass representing a lake. The amount of water they hold is also the percentage of the water remaining in those lakes. So, if there’s only 64% of water left in Burdur lake, the glass can also hold that percentage of water. The glasses were first launched on the 22nd March, World Water Day, which also happens to be the date of the biggest national economic forum; Uludağ Economical Forum. All the glasses at the event were swapped with our glasses. Here we reached 2.200 people the major opinion leaders of the country: Members of the government, top academicians, company CEO’s and all the news channels. We hacked the event. We created an unprecedented intervention using the search facility of Google Maps on the leisure website of the largest newspaper in Rio. Whenever people would look for bars, nightclubs or restaurants, their route would be abruptly interrupted by traffic accident icons. Trees, street post and fire hydrants would appear in the middle of the route leading people to a public awareness message.
