To do justice to such an impressive product, we came up with the concept - Blacker than black. Blacker than... matching with your dad on tinder. Or even blacker than... a vinyl record made out of dying unicorn sounds. So that’s exactly what we did. The first ever vinyl record pressed from coffee. In an airport check out, an ordinary guy is held as suspect by a police dog that barks at him. Because of this dog behaviour, the man suffers several inspections in order to check if he’s carrying drugs or other illegal items. During this period the dog continues to bark permanently, leaving the poor man to the worst situation: a final rectal inspection. And then to his surprise, the dog stops barking, and the man has a glimpse of an eye where he recalls from where he remembers that dog. It is the dog he abandoned years before on an empty field. We will never know its name: could be Lucky, could be Karma. But he got its revenge. Because an abandoned dog never forgets. The IKEA catalogue is not just any other catalogue. Launched every year and distributed to almost every home in the world, it is one book that doesn’t need any introduction. When IKEA tasked Leo Burnett with launching their 2013 IKEA catalogue in Singapore and Malaysia, the problem was simple. How do you make people excited for something they know they get every year anyway? Our solution: Building anticipation to the arrival of the catalogue in the mailbox via a uniquely IKEA countdown. Male suicides have consistently accounted for approximately three-quarters of all suicides in the UK since the mid-1990s and its on the rise. Bikers historically put out a macho, alpha male persona who can't appear weak. They often hold emotions in. The film presents a typical representation of this before he finds hope and makes a difficult choice to reach out. We see the start of a long journey but one that is on the right path. Mental Health Motorbike is a charity that offers mental health support to motorcyclists across the UK. Set up in memory of Dale Caffrey, the charity is aimed specifically at bikers who all too often bottle up emotions and their struggles. The charity's aim is to prevent suicides across the country by creating a network of mental health first aiders at local bike garages, cafes and dealers, who can be reached in times of need. The long form ad aims to raise awareness of the struggles many people face, particularly during the pandemic and to motivate viewers to reach out for support. The film presents a middle aged man who is in a deep dark place. He stumbles upon the MHM charity and decides to reach out. The spark ignites when we see him start the ignition of his dusty bike, a beam of light presenting a way forward and the freedom of the road clearing his mind. The path may be windy and not straightforward but the there is hope at the end of the road. Where we meet a supportive mental health first aider.
