We took a computer vision and pattern recognition algorithm developed at Cornell University, and trained it to recognize our company logo using Machine Learning techniques based on computational neural networks. (Honestly, we thought that to be better use of an algorithm than teaching it to recognize a cat.) Then, having taught it to find our logo, we ran the algorithm backwards while showing it images of trees and snowflakes. So what's an algorithm to do if it's being run backwards while shown pictures of trees, when all it really knows how to do is recognize a company's logo? Well, being an uncomplaining machine, it does its best to find that logo. And when it doesn't find it, it tries to put one there: it starts seeing logos where there aren't any. From that chaos, the machine creates this trippy, mesmerizing effect. An entirely new art form waiting to be experimented with. Looking forward to 2017, we marvel at how newer technologies continue to transform our wonderful business, and how we will adapt and use them commercially for the benefit of our clients, and their brands. Portrait of a Dreamer is the story of Fidencio Fifeld-Perez, an undocumented artist who comes to the US at age seven. Fidencio documents his journey to America though papal picados (Mexican papercutting) made of maps. Through this medium, he completes the iconic George Washington Athenaeum portrait on the dollar bill with a road map from Mexico to the United States. We motivate them to join their name and face with the Oriflame brand and say to themselves and those close to them, “I’ve got it!” We have created a personalized video where any woman can play the lead role. It’s getting harder and harder to focus on just one thing. And when it comes to UEFA Champions League matches, every blink could be crucial. Heineken decided to find and reward the most concentrated fans by challenging them to a stare-down with one of the most cool-headed football players — Andrea Pirlo. We created a website that tests the concentration of each visitor in a battle with Pirlo himself. Using AI-powered face tracking technology, we detected the movement of each player’s eyes, both on desktop and mobile devices. Those who managed to withstand Pirlo’s stare the longest without blinking or looking away won a ticket for an exclusive screening of the Final.
