Background: In the county of Kronoberg, Sweden, the Health Department have noticed increasing numbers of chlamydia among the youth and young adults. One of the reasons being the stigma about testing; a physical meeting with a nurse and the embarrassment it may cause. The time factor is also a barrier; many find it circumstantial to set aside time to go to a health central – let alone for a test. Task: Inform young citizens in the region about chlamydia and the fact that one can order a self-test online. You don’t even have to move away from the screen! Solution: A regional Health Department is pretty far from being down with the kids… However, we knew that millennials put a lot of confidence in peer-2-peer communication. They trust their friends and are very responsive to information coming from their own networks. The solution was to create something that they would want to consume and share voluntarily. Instead of using the county’s graphical profile, we went in the opposite direction, just offering simple entertainment – with a hook at the end. No morals. No pointers. On New Year’s Eve, millions of people across the continent celebrated the arrival of 2014 with dinners, parties and of course fireworks. In this “Screen Age”, a staggering estimated 1.1 billion photos and videos were shared on social media platforms in the last 24 hours. In the past people used to share texts on special occasions, now they send each other Vines, Instagrams and short videos. To strengthen the Life Is For Sharing positioning, Deutsche Telekom launched the next chapter with a 90’’ film taken from crowd-sourced videos uploaded on Vine & Instagram. Little film snippets show how people across Europe welcomed 2014, and were edited through the night. The result is a feel-good 90 second film sourced from a variety of hashtags, which included #share2014. The soundtrack “Million Dollar Bills” comes courtesy of worldwide music sensation Lorde. An eye-catching temporary installation, ‘Scents of the City’ was set up in a Brussels art gallery – 752 tubes containing 16 unique fragrances from Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels and Copenhagen. The scents, which included “A Real French Breakfast", the aroma of a buttered tartine in a Parisian café, “Latexxx”, the latex odor from the Sex Museum in Amsterdam, or the more poetic “Moments after Mass”, the blended scent of the Cologne cathedral…visitors were able to walk around the colorful display, hung from the ceiling like a chandelier. Circling around, they could explore the different scents, which were identified on large wall maps. The temporary exhibit was preceded by a soft launch in Paris earlier this year, and will continue with a film, which follows an adventurer as he travels to the different cities. The film will be aired in the 4 countries represented in the exhibit during the 2nd half of May. Experiential advertisement created by Rosapark, France for Thalys, within the category: Transport.
