As Flirt.com conducted research and interviewed users, they discovered a common behavior pattern. For many it is easier to break the ice online than to start a conversation face-to-face, especially in the fast-paced settings of social encounters. That is why online dating can serve as the perfect first step to meeting new people. Admittedly, Flirt.com focuses on the easy going side of dating, offering its users many ways to strike up conversations and make quick connections.

We were asked to devise an innovative concept to promote Sony PlayStation's 'Movies on Demand' service, to gain credibility for the service and highlight the superior experience. Taking movies as our starting point we pushed the brand outside of traditional channels. We tried to imagine what the ultimate movie experience would be like, creating three high-impact promos using 'immersive imaging' which were inspired by well-known movies. This technique uses 3D projection mapping as its starting point and combines it with traditional special effects, giving the viewer a supercharged experience, as the living room set is brought to life. Once again we were able to collaborate with some amazing creative talents in the FND Collective andMLF, who helped us to bring the campaign to life. Each film was carefully choreographed and timed to the animation sequence so that we could capture everything in one take, with no cuts, no post production and all in real time. The project combined real-life props, pyrotechnics and ninja puppeteers so we were able to blur the boundaries between the virtual and real. The three virals were uploaded to YouTube and have gained over 4.5 million views. Digital advertisement created by Studio Output, United Kingdom for PlayStation, within the category: Gaming.

2019 Clio Juror: Eva Santos Bouzas "The doll that chose to drive” is a 3-D animated short telling the story of a doll’s adventures at the toy section of a mall. The film begins with the classic separation of toys “for boys” on blue shelves, and toys “for girls” on pink shelves. Abandoning the pink shelf, the doll crosses the abyss to the blue side—where toys “for boys” are located—and climbs into a toy R8, Audi’s sportiest car. In the end, can the car and the doll continue playing together or will they be separated by stereotypes? We made the animated film in 3-D, with a cinematic style, since this technique allowed us to tell the story from the point of view of the toys themselves. This piece was designed to be shared during Christmas, with different levels of meaning to reach both the adult and child targets Film advertisement created by Proximity, Spain for Audi, within the category: Automotive.

This year, Vodafone Centre Stage is all about comedy, and we were tasked with using comedy to build brand affinity among young people in Ireland. This gave us a challenge: while “the yoof” love comedy as much as the rest of us (slightly) older fogies, they don’t attend live comedy in large numbers - preferring to get their laughs from YouTube and social media. So, how do we merge the two worlds of traditional live comedy and online comedy? And how do we make it relevant to our target audience? We created Ireland’s Funniest Fecker, a nationwide search to find Ireland’s next comedy star from the online world. Partnering up with comedian Kevin McGahern, we put a call out to the people of Ireland to send in a funny video they made for a chance to be famous. We then engaged existing online comedy stars to further promote the competition on their channels, giving the campaign a broader reach. What better way to build affinity with young people than by creating a hero from their own ranks? And what better way to promote comedy among this target age group than getting involved in their unique comedy culture? So this summer, we’ll be hitting towns and timelines throughout the country with Kevin, unearthing Irish comedy gems as we build up to the crowing of Ireland’s Funniest Fecker live at the Vodafone Comedy Festival.
