The ProblemThe target group of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter think they can not afford one because Mercedes-Benz is often seen as a very expensive brand. In reality the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is a really affordable option compared to other vans in its league.But because potential buyers think they can not afford a new van they go look for a cheaper alternative on the internet. To show people it’s better to spend a little more money on a brand new Mercedes -Benz Sprinter than buying a second hand van from the competition we did something different. The IdeaInstead of promoting the new Sprinter we started selling second hand vans of the competition. On the Dutch Ebay called Marktplaats, the number one site where people sell their cars, we placed fake adverts of our competitors. On first sight these seem to be normal adverts of people trying to sell their van. But when you browse the pictures you see a brand new Sprinter that is parked in the background. Big letters on the side of the Sprinter tell you that you be better of buying this brand new sprinter than the second hand van in the advert. When people call the telephonenumber they hear a voicemail of an angry car salesman that tells you to go to the Mercedes-Benz dealer. When they send an e-mail they receive an autoreply message.The ResultsThe adverts where viewed more than 20.000 times in one day, a normal Marktplaats ad just 20 times. Quickly it got picked up by Autoblog. nl, the biggest carblog in the Netherlands with more than 1 million unique visitors and after that other carblogs followed. It started a buzz on Twitter and also attracted Spitsnews. We received a large amount of voicemail and e-mail replies of people asking about the Sprinter. Two fake adverts on Marktplaats, a total cost of 150 Euros and a lot of free publicity turned this campaign into a real success. For those who grew up in Greece, NOYNOY evaporated milk is their childhood favourite. While everybody in Greece knows and loves NOYNOY, it seems that in the last years they have stopped believing in its value proposition. Our challenge was to smartly convey the message “what is worthy, stands the test of time” in YouTube environment. Instead of forcefully interrupting the user's experience, we thought of incorporating the message into it, linking NOYNOY evaporated milk with all-time classic song we all love and appreciate more over time. By volume searches of all-time classic songs/artists we have created custom, special targeted preroll videos for each one of them. Say hello to the world's largest message in a bottle. 2011 Grand Prix winner in Eurobest, Solo from Norway, is out with a new spectacular campaign and continues the quest for world fame. The bottle is 8 meters long and is filled with a 12 square meter letter and a case of Solo (of course). Object: To let the wind and ocean currents decide who gets to taste the world's best soda. In the midst of a “cold season”, we have launched an advertising campaign promoting Polyoxidonium, a medicine for cold and flu. During the exacerbation of viral diseases, many people stay home and lie in bed watching TV shows and new films, so the central element was a video stylized as a trailer for a catastrophe movie. We announced a new catastrophe film telling about a real flu apocalypse that worsens without Polyoxidonium! As part of the campaign, we supplemented the video with placements that are non-traditional for the pharmaceutical market: ad-trailer was shown on popular sites for online film watching and in thematic film communities on Vkontakte. The site of Kinopoisk was also branded. Dimensional constructions, posters and flyers stylized to match the announcements of the new film were placed in the Cinema Park and Formula kino movie theaters. In a series of cuts plans, we discover sportsmen and sportswomen who get ready and repeat their scales tirelessly. We also see unknown persons for whom sport is a game, who enjoy the life. Inspiring slogans, that became a common thing in sports advertising, appear in overprinting. But at the very end, a voice-over reveals that this is not an advertising for any sports brand. “I’m going on a diet from now on!!” Everyone is passionate when they go on a diet and yet, sooner or later, we often find ourselves ordering a pepperoni pizza late at night. We all know how the story ends. We thought this could be the real moment when people need Passion. Passion not only to be used to achieve their ultimate dream but something to help them to achieve the little goals in their everyday lives. To help people, we got the idea from a theory known as the ‘Profess Effect,’ which says that the more you let people know your goals, the more responsibility you feel, and the more likely you are to achieve those goals. Based on this theory, we created a campaign to help consumers to achieve their everyday goals with Passion. First, we collected consumers’ insights on a promotional mobile site, where visitors can list their everyday goals. Then we turned them into real ads or “Willboards” which it then displayed around Seoul. Also, we made a campaign video to promote this Willboards campaign. The video is about a girl who achieved her goals thanks to the Willboards. Companies that rely on donations fight a tough battle with the numerous distractions that are found on our phones and on the internet, so it’s imperative that the journey from wanting to donate to actually donating is as short as possible. In a time where we’re always chasing the next new, it’s refreshing to know that sometimes the best solution can be old tech.
