As families are continuing to turn to vacation rentals as a way to travel and spend quality time together, Vrbo teamed up with Fortnight Collective to create a new campaign to celebrate its hosts and spread the love of togetherness with its global community. Centered around the theme, “Let’s Do Together Together”, the campaign features real hosts in their actual vacation homes, making this Vrbo’s first ever host-facing broadcast campaign. This approach brings to life the care each host puts into their rental property, showing how they make it a home away from home, not just a place to stay. To make isiXhosa-speaking consumers (the 2nd largest language group in South Africa) aware of their affordable Internet package, MWEB tapped into Xhosa folklore. isiXhosa speakers inhabit two worlds at the same time – the traditional and modern. Modern technology such as the Internet comfortably co-exists with the notions of witchcraft being real. The ad uses this idea of witchcraft in a contemporary setting in a tongue-in-cheek manner, allowing the MWEB Internet offer to be presented using cultural capital that resonates with potential consumers. Spykar, one of India’s leading denim brands, wanted to excite the country's digitally-hooked youth with its Autumn Winter ’15 Collection: the indigo dyed Spykar Blue Collection. Like most youngsters, Indian youth are on the lookout for adult content, online. Incidentally, in India, porn films are called Blue Films. This inspired a nationwide prank - India's first ever blue film festival. 10 digital films with international models clad in Spykar's Blue collection were shot. The twist was - their denims were pixelated - making these videos look like adult content. These teasing videos, shared on social media, helped grab the attention of the youth of India. Ultimately, the videos were un-pixelated, revealing the stylish Blue collection. Plano de Menina (Girl's Plan), a social initiative whose goal is to give a voice and opportunities to underprivileged girls throughout Brazil, offering courses and workshops on financial education, entrepreneurship, career building, self-esteem, law, citizenship, and other subjects, created the #EqualPay movement in partnership with BETC/Havas, in order to call on public institutions, employers and society at large to reflect on and promote positive initiatives that contribute to making equal pay between men and women a reality. Research shows that for women to earn the same as men, they need to begin their professional life 10 years earlier. The unfairness of this situation is evidenced through the character Heloisa Teodoro, a 10-year-old Plano de Menina student. In the campaign, the girl questions recruiters from various companies about male privilege and asks: "Do you think that's fair?" The recruiters are left speechless when challenged by a girl who, together with thousands of other Plano de Menina girls, started the #EqualPay movement seeking to secure the same rights and equal pay for women, calling on all Brazilians to unite to make this future possible, so that women can enter the job market at the right time and receive the same salaries and opportunities as men.
