According to a study, over 40% of girls quit sports during their teenage years. Although this statistic is highly disturbing, it doesn’t come as a surprise. The prejudice against women in sports is such deep-rooted issue that even after years, the organisations which have aimed to address this, have only been able to generate a few ripples. Adidas wanted to create a tide. While looking for reasons, we came across a startling fact. A study by UNESCO indicates, only 4% of sports news is dedicated to women. This heavy media bias which is often ignored, is a rather significant contributor to this scenario. We decided to change that narrative. Our Idea: 50/50 Instead of buying TV spots, outdoor spaces and newspaper columns, Adidas buys air time on TV and an extra page in newspapers to ensure equal distribution between men and women sports news. In turn, giving young girls what they need the most, idols, inspirations, and stars they can aspire to be. Smartphones have become an integral part of our lives. They are our only constant companion be it a boardroom, or a bathroom. There is no denying the fact that smartphones have made our lives easier and have innumerable benefits. But, we also cannot run away from the fact that they are causing one of fastest growing ailments in the world – ‘Text Neck’. While using our smartphones, we subconsciously bend our necks. What we don’t realise is a small thirty-degree tilt of the neck, leads to an excess weight of thirty pounds. Idea: Straighten Up Using face recognition technology, Apple phones detect the angle at which the neck is bent. If the angle exceeds five degrees, the phone would blur the image/text on the screen, leaving the user with no option but to straighten up. Thus, inculcating a habit to always keep the neck upright, even while using the phone. Goyal & Co launched a new apartment complex in Bangalore, which they officially registered as 'Orchid Piccadilly'. In a country scarred by the British rule, this was indeed an icky situation to be in, to add to our problems, there was nothing British about the architecture or any aspect of this project for that matter. What started as a conundrum was then flipped on its head and used to our advantage with the Tag line of the campaign stating "Orchid Piccadilly, Nothing British About it". We played on the innate, ancestral need of us Indians to take a dig at the British. And it worked. It struck a chord with our Indian audiences. They had a good laugh. No offence to the British :) Film advertisement created by Lazaro Advertising, India for Goyal & Co, within the category: Professional Services.
