CHALLENGE: Buscofem is a leading brand of menstrual cramps drug in Brazil. Despite their leadership on the market, we were challenged with further increasing brand awareness and sales numbers, while also turning Buscofem into an important player in the digital environment, converting new users and engaging customers to increase loyalty. /SOLUTION So, we’ve created a movement called #mypainmatters to bring women’s pain to light, with especial focus on menstrual cramps. Using data collected through social listening and a national survey of Brazilian women (in partnership with the Sophia Mind institute), we discovered that most women suffer through menstrual cramps. Most importantly, they’ve had to miss out on activities, school or work because of their menstrual symptoms and have had their pain dismissed by others. We gave these women a voice by writing a song using the data collected in the survey, as well as creating an interactive website with key research findings, bringing light to a real social problem, at work and in their personal lives. We’ve launched the music video for the My Pain Matters song on International Women’s Day along with other materials, and used the support of bloggers and influencers to help spread the word. /RESULTS Buscofem has now the biggest fanpage in the healthcare segment according to SocialBakers® and, despite a challenging landscape, sales have increased 19% during the campaign resulting in 68% of market share in the menstrual pain category. The campaign reached over 75% of 18 to 34 year old women, 40% through paid media and the other 35% through word of mouth. In a campaign to reinforce the Asian Flavors of NISSIN FOODS BRASIL, the company presents its newest executive – straight from Japan. Gotsui Wasabi, is a superstar monster who, after having his TV show canceled, took a trip around the world looking for a new job. Knowing how successful NISSIN has been over the last 50 years in our country and taking advantage of his “voracious experience” with Asian cuisine, Gotsui took a chance and knocked on the company’s door. The risk paid off and, after passing through various positions, the ex-TV show monster was named NISSIN’s Vice President of Sales for Asian Flavors. Before Africans became enslaved, they were experts in many fields, contributing to human history with important inventions that range from the telescope to setting the basis of cubism in art. It should be in school books, but it is not. Zumbi dos Palmares College, the only black college in Brazil, and J. Walter Thompson Brazil developed the project Black Box, unveiling this side of history in order to bring pride and knowledge to Afro-descendants, to promote a historical correction and to spread hidden stories about black people’s cultural legacy to the spotlight. In the past years, countless historic buildings in the Middle East have been destroyed by countless wars. This huge cultural loss has an even greater impact for the next generations, which will never be able to see or visit these places. Having this in mind, the History Blocks project was created with the support of UNESCO. It is an initiative that takes place inside Minecraft Education Edition, a Microsoft platform with a pedagogical purpose used in schools around the world. The project counted on the participation of teachers who guided – through a pedagogical plan – the collaborative building of monuments that had been destroyed in the Middle East and that had already been projected in the platform. The project's challenge was to continue the brand strategy used by the construction company (brand and locator names), but to be loaded with a unique, light, fun, contrasting and at the same time popular identity representing the product's interest audience . A great challenge, but certainly a lot of fun for all the team involved. Design advertisement created by Box Comunicação, Brazil for CMO Construtora, within the category: Industrial, Agriculture.

ISA is celebrating its 25 years anniversary with the launch of the #PeoplesOfTheForest campaign to boost support for the indigenous, Quilombola, riparian and extractivist communities who are resisting attacks on their rights and the destruction of their lands. The peoples of the forest have a message for the Brazilian government, politicians and the business community. To prospectors, loggers, squatters and other invaders of their lands: "we will continue to resist." This is one of the main messages of the #PeoplesOfTheForest campaign, which Instituto Socioambiental (ISA) and its partners in the indigenous, Quilombola, riparian and extractivist communities are launching this Tuesday, April 23, online, on TV and in cinemas. The campaign is asking for people to support the fight to protect Brazil's environmental heritage and is advocating for the rights of indigenous tribes and traditional populations. Young people, women, medicine men, chiefs and shamans. The protagonists for the #PeoplesOfTheForest campaign are 25 leaders from nine indigenous tribes in the Amazon, from Quilombola communities in Vale do Ribeira (SP) and from riparian communities in Terra do Meio, Pará. With their strength and beauty, the campaign honors the diversity of the people living in and protecting the forests, reminding us that it is the forests that regulate the climate, produce rain for farming and house the planet's largest biodiversity, a potential source of new medications and cures. In Brazil, talking about sex during gynecologic consultation is still considered a taboo. This issue becomes even more evident with cancer patients. The purpose of the film, shown both in the social media of the brand and the NGO that supports the patients (Laço Rosa Foundation), was meant to provoke an open debate about this cause. The film was released and boosted in the social media during the October Rosa, the month dedicated to the international movement for breast cancer control awareness. 2018 was the year of the most controversial election in Brazil. And to step into the conversation, we brought the subject of something common to every candidate: the promises over constructions which will never be finished. We mapped in the state of São Paulo several works halted for more than 10 years and placed outdoors in front of them, in order to show that with C&C there’s no halted construction. And also, remembered the electors about politicians that never fulfill their promises. Outdoor advertisement created by Publicis, Brazil for C&C, within the category: Industrial, Agriculture.
