From the first moment we've realized there was an unfulfilled potential highlighting the brands name. The advantages of having a wallet made of paper were clear - mainly thickness and being a canvas for artworks, but the concern of paper being not durable enough, made the path to the perfect material, an ideal issue to attack. Working with an art-oriented client allowed us to go wild with our vision which was tailor suited to the brands nature. Pure joy.

Finnair is the flag carrier and largest airline in Finland. In April 2018, Finnair set out to reinvent their in-flight culinary experience. The background noise inside an airplane affects your taste perception. It enhances umami and bitter tastes, while reducing salty and sweet tastes. This got us thinking, how can we improve the in-flight dining experience and offer true Nordic flavors to passengers on board Finnair flights? We recorded pure, natural sounds from Nordic Lapland with Finnair signature chef Steven Liu. And together with professor of molecular gastronomy Anu Hopia, we turned the recordings into unique soundscapes for each of the dishes served on board flights from Asia. Each soundtrack was made to enhance the flavors of the different dishes. To offer a truly unique Nordic experience wherever you are, we also created a WeChat app for the Chinese audience. Take a picture of your food and advanced image recognition software interprets it and offers you a customized soundtrack for you to enjoy. The Nordic soundscapes will enhance the unique flavors of any recognizable food you are eating. Now, anyone can easily enjoy the taste of the Finnair experience, even on the ground. Kenya Tourism Board needed a tool to Educate local population on the national monuments. So we created the CULTURE CAPTCHA, a tweaked version of the existing Captcha platform that is used to prove online users are not robots. It uses the short video format to showcase Kenya’s unique destinations in an innovative way that requires locals to identify key landmarks by filling out their names. Thus improving their aptitude in helping foreigners getting around and boosting domestic tourism. Giant Propeller loves helping established brands redefine their legacies. Orient Watch has been around since 1950, but wanted to kick off a new look and attitude befitting of 2018. The best way to do this was to temporarily pull some focus away from the technical details of their renowned craftsmanship, and instead lean into their Japanese roots and spirit with a brand new website that embodies a totally new direction. More than just the new website, Giant Propeller co-founder/Creative Director Jordan Freda wanted to create a digital state of mind for Orient Watch by capturing the realness of Japan and the authenticity of its cutting-edge Tokyo street culture. To achieve this, they jettisoned across the Pacific to immerse themselves in that world. From tranquil countrysides to blazing neon skylines, the GP team captured as much visual content as they could to create a new brand video that reintroduces Orient Watch to the world. The video was supported by striking photography, both of which were used in the creation of the new site – a fully customized Shopify build from scratch, along with a never-before-seen “E-Comm 3D” Product Visualizer experience which enables users to explore and manipulate Orient’s watches with unprecedented digital freedom on the website.
