Since the law of transportation made the use of the belts on the front seat compulsory, this became a habit for Brazilians. Unfortunately, this same habit does not happen when sitting in the back seat. To remind and educate the Brazilian population of the importance of using seat belts also in the back seat Aktuellmix has created an action, where covers were placed in the taxi banks, which simulate the dashboard of the car, and it carries the following message: “If you were in the front seat, you would have your seat belt on by now.” Direct advertisement created by Aktuellmix, Brazil for Trânsito Amigo, within the category: Public Interest, NGO.

When looking at e-sports, the fastest growing sport in the world, we found that it as a culture attracts mainly young men (10:1 ratio 2018), both playing and following, excluding not only women, but also older people. The elderly, who are also seen as the digital underclass. But gaming really isn’t about physical strength or about who you are or where you’re from. Anyone should be able to take part. So, when every tech brand is looking to promote AR or VR inventions we looked the other way and embodied Lenovos brand tagline “Different is better” in a new shape and form. We created a living proof in that would strengthen Lenovo’s brand in the e-sport community. This by creating a series of Counter Strike Teams consisting of elderly that could infiltrate the gaming community. With our modest budget, they have played against pro kids, made interviews, spoken with politicians, inspired and been copied (seriously great). A digitally overloaded group has connected with the digital underclass. Grandmothers play with grandchildren. The attention in mainstream media has brought understanding to an often misunderstood sport. The Silver Snipers, Grey Gunners and the other teams proves that gaming is for everyone. Peter Madden, CEO of AgileCat, has had enough. Enough of political advertisements that do nothing to raise the level of discourse above mud-slinging. So he decided to have a little fun while making a statement between-the-lines that it’s high time our politicians keep it constructive, not destructive. Following up on the successful launch of Volkswagen BlueMotion Technologies via the innovative Fun Theory platform, Volkswagen and DDB created the Fun Theory Award, a competition which ultimately saw 699 amazing entries from more than 35 countries. The winner was the Speed Camera Lottery, created and submitted by San Francisco's Kevin Richardson, a games producer for NickelodeonKids whose idea was based around rewarding those who obeyed the speed limit with the money raised through fining those lead foot drivers who exceed it. In October 2010, the idea became reality and was tested in Stockholm, in collaboration with NTF (The Swedish road transport authority). Speed Camera Lottery worked on many levels: the average speed was reduced by 22%. Media ranging from ABC to the BBC Worldwide Service covered the campaign, the competition and the winning idea. Even better Speed Camera Lottery helped Volkswagen continue to boost share and sales in Sweden. From January to June 2010 Volkswagen market share increased almost 4% to 12.9% while sales grew by 5.8% compared to an increase of 3.9% for the overall market compared to the first half of 2009. In the eco car segment alone, Volkswagen saw market share leap from about 8% to nearly 15% proving another theory at DDB: Creating ideas that people want to play with, participate in and pass along is good for business. The euglena company was trying to solve world's food & energy shortage problems by developing various euglena products. However, in Japan, nobody knew about the big potential of euglena and, to make things worse, many Japanese misunderstood euglena as a"worm," like this, as its Japanese name is "green worm." As a result, Euglena was considered to be a weird company that makes Food and fuels out of worms. To correct this wrong perception, we've placed a special device called "the entrance quiz", at the front desk of the company. Sound Design: Atsushi Shimomura / Sosa Co.
