The most ambitious international campaign of Ukraine Ukraine now – is a grand-scale international marketing campaign of the Ukrainian government starting in 2018. Its aim is to form the Ukrainian global brand, raise foreign investment in country and improve its touristic potential. 27 experts from the Commission on the popularization of Ukraine in the world participated in the preparation for the campaign. With their help, the maximum amount of data and materials were gathered to create a brand that will demonstrate the attractiveness of Ukraine for tourism, cultural interaction and business. Why does country need a brand? Today, if a country does not have a brand, people form an opinion about it based on what they have heard or read occasionally. And this is bad for Ukraine. Because we can not influence such random information. Worse still, it's often negative. With the support of the British government, a study was conducted on how Ukraine is perceived abroad. It turned out that the three most popular associations with Ukraine are "corruption", "revolution" and "war". People who have never been to Ukraine see Ukrainians as closed, aggressive and intolerant. This image is shaped largely from what they see and hear in the news. With such a reputation it is difficult to attract investment and tourists to the country. But those who have been with us at least once, change their minds and celebrate the hospitality of Ukrainians, wonderful landscapes, culture and architecture. To change the perceptions of Ukrainians and convince more people to come to us, Ukraine needs a brand. Such a brand will demonstrate us as an open modern country, where everything is most interesting right now. Ukraine is now-nation "Now" is the most important word for Ukraine today. It is the basis of the new campaign and branding idea. Right now Ukraine is changing and gradually becoming what we want to see it. Modern Ukrainians are about "now." They do not wait, do not hesitate. They act now and create new companies, new progressive businesses, new cafes, restaurants, festivals, new factories, new creative schools and innovative technology parks. We want to attract the attention of the same modern people from all over the world, tourists and investors. For them this moment of change is important. And according to the research, this magic word "NOW" attracts them very much. Ukraine now The aim of the new branding is to tell about "now". It is dynamic, open and positive. Minimalism makes it easy to use. The logo was made like this because we wanted to "highlight" by means of a yellow marker the main word of the message – “NOW”. And the blue element of logo resembles the alerts we see in social networks. This is a symbol of something new, something that attracts attention. And Ukraine is really worth attention now. As a result, the brand was made bright and modern. It expresses young good energy, energy of action. Branding is situational. The final element of each layout is pictogram. Each time it adapts to the context and complements of the layout plot. Own typeface The Ermilov font was specially created for Ukraine Now brand. This is a modern massive geometric grotesque with a special bevel in the corners of the letter. The author of typeface was inspired by the work of Ukrainian constructivist artist Vasyl Yermilov. #Ukraine_now This is an app that provides live broadcasting from different parts of Ukraine right now. See real Ukraine, but not Ukraine from news. The brand of the country you want to explore The brand is optimistic, bright and sincere. This is the brand of the country you would like to get acquainted with. It helps us to demonstrate Ukraine as we love it to the whole world. To promote the anniversary year “Viennese Modernism 2018”, the Vienna Tourist Board asked the question about the limits of art in our seemingly enlightened society. And started a media experiment. We booked out of home, print and online placements for Egon Schiele motifs and promptly received the not entirely unexpected response from official sources: In the United Kingdom and in Germany the world-famous Schiele nudes were only allowed to be shown with veiled genitals in public. We apologized to viewers for the loss of art enjoyment this caused. With a campaign that stimulated the audience to engage in an active discussion and gained attention for Vienna and Viennese Modernism. Even social media platforms dealt with the campaign in different ways. What some platforms permitted was subjected to censorship by others. Under the hashtag “ToArtItsFreedom”, based on the slogan of the Vienna Secession, people’s reactions on all social networks were collected. The international press also took the campaign as an occasion to join in the discussion about the limits of art and the morals and values of our society. In recognition of International Women’s Day, March 8, Ogilvy Paris launches an intrusive ad banner campaign with the French Associations “Stop Harcèlement de Rue”, “Les Effronté.es” and “Paye Ta Shnek” that's intended to awaken men to the experience of sexual harassment faced by women. Over the 7 and 8th in France, several contextualized banners, targeting men only, will invade their mobile screen when browsing their preferred French media on mobile (GQ, Konbini, SoFoot, Libération, BFM, L’Express). Becoming more and more repetitive and insistent, the banners will not stop, even insult, no matter how many times they try to close them. Once they’ve experienced the banners, they will be invited to raise their voice by tweeting and posting on Facebook #NONC’ESTNON.

More than meets the eye – this motto is one of the main principles of the Transformers universe. It’s not that easy to play the game where fiction becomes part of a reality in ALL brand communications. But we did it. We live in the world where images, video and sound rule, we observe how text formats become obsolete. We get used to new formats in all possible spheres… And we can hardly find anything as boring as time-honored radio commercials… But what if we HACK them? ...And break the air by one of the most iconic sounds for today’s progressive audience — the voice of Optimus Prime! ...And the date of the hack coincides with the most important media event in Russia – the president’s call-in show. On 15th June 2017 we organized numerous broadcast breaks on 3 leading radiostations in Russia – Maximum, DFM and Hit FM. The audience reacted immediately: the official pages of the radio stations in social media were flooded with comments asking what was going on. Journalists noticed our activity too – the interruption of radio broadcast with strange sound can hardly stay unnoticed. And, of course, the linked it to another event of the day – the President’s call-in show! Thus Transformers hacked not only the air of 3 radio stations, but many, many more major media. We got mentioned in 250 media and popular communities in social networks. Yandex.News – Russia’s major news aggregator – ranged our case as TOP news on Science and tech. The overall campaign reach exceeded 100,000,000. And what’s even more important… once again we reminded our audience that transformers are more than meets the eye. The first Scénic was a car that revolutionized the concept of multi-purpose vehicles. The New Renault Scénic is equally revolutionary in terms of modularity. Because it’s the first family car that can transform into a crossover and an urban vehicle. How to let people experience such a technical characteristic instead of just explaining it to them? With Ningyo, the first modular movie. It is divided into 3 sections that can be reassembled by users to create different stories with different plots. Depending on the active choices people make, Ningyo can become a romance, a drama, a thriller, a noir or a horror film. People had the chance to experiment creating different stories of Ningyo on various media. Online and on mobile thanks to the ad hoc platform. On Twitter thanks to Conversation Ad, where you could reassemble the short film sections with a tweet. During the unveiling of the project at the 73° edition of the Venice Film Festival a series of digital totems were installed, that participants could interact with to create their own versions of the film. In one of Rome’s main subway stations a temporary cinema was set up where you could see all versions of the film. Everyone uses electricity, it is central to our daily lives. But there is little thought put to its actual value and how it is made. To help get people thinking harder about energy, we opened the world’s first “pay with energy” café. In this unique space, you could not pay with cash, or credit card. The only accepted form of currency was energy. Customers generated their own energy by using pedals installed on the bar stools or stepping on special energy-capturing floor tiles. They could then exchange that energy for a sustainable cold brew coffee. During its duration, the cafe generated millions of joules, on top of sparking a greater social conversation that spread far beyond the café itself.
