In the midst of the pandemic, femicides and domestic violence cases reached alarming numbers. The Puerto Rico Section of Amnesty International (AIPR), a worldwide movement of people fighting against human rights abuses, decided to put the distressing data in front of the people to compel action. The result was The Bloody Data, a shocking campaign highlighting the statistical data on women who have bled from femicides in Puerto Rico during 2020. The campaign launched on November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. The twist? Menstrual blood remains a taboo in Puerto Rico and is considered by many to be repulsive. Still the bloodshed of women due to violence doesn’t generate such disgust. Amnesty presents de data using menstrual pads, cup and tampons, challenging viewers to rethink their bias and direct outrage to the only blood that should be disgusting: the blood spilled by gender violence. The campaign lived in print, outdoor, social media and www.thebloodydata.com, a website were ultimately you could sign a petition calling for an official stance from Puerto Rico’s government against gender violence. The petition gathered hundreds of signatures and attracted support in more than 25 countries around the world and grabbed the attention of newspapers and online media. Two months after its launch, Governor Pedro Pierluisi declared a State of Emergency for Gender Violence in Puerto Rico. The executive order prioritizes gender issues in all government agencies, calling for the implementation of comprehensive sexual education with gender perspective, a deep change in the police and judicial system to serve victims with dignity and allocates money from the national budget to address gender violence. Final Frontier and Taiko Studios produced Airbnb China’s Chinese New Year film, a touching animation demonstrating how the brand’s properties can become homes away from home at a time of year where young Chinese are finding it increasingly difficult to return to their family hometowns. Spring Festival is the most important date on the calendar in China, when families separated by work and life necessities reunite, traditionally in the town where the children grew up. Titled “Fu”, the three-and-a-half minute 3D animation tells the story of Jia Jia, a young nurse whose pursuit of her career dreams in the big city prevent her from returning to her hometown for Chinese New year, much to the disappointment of herself and her parents. Fortunately, Airbnb’s platform is on-hand to enable a unique solution. At the core of the film is the age old Chinese New year tradition of hanging a ‘Fú’ (meaning ‘blessing’) banner upside down, symbolizing "good luck comes", tying in to the overall campaign idea of turning traditional concepts on their head; in this case, 'home' coming to Jia Jia rather than the other way around.

The problem: Our advertising agency was looking for a Russian-speaking art director who could create cool packagings. We wanted to have our ad published by all professional resources and to make sure that about millions of packaging designers learned about it. But we had no money for this! Solution: We invented a concept of packaging. Then we encrypted a message about open art director vacancy on a label. And after this we sent the case to the world's largest packaging resources where almost all designers are subscribers. The text of the ad was intentionally written in Russian. Therefore, when the packaging was published, the ad was understood only by our target audience, i.e. Russian-speaking designers. For everyone else, it was just ordinary packaging. Results: The ad was seen thousands of designers. We succeeded in bringing our message to the notice of our target audience only. The agency received dozens of CVs and hundreds of portfolios.

ISA is celebrating its 25 years anniversary with the launch of the #PeoplesOfTheForest campaign to boost support for the indigenous, Quilombola, riparian and extractivist communities who are resisting attacks on their rights and the destruction of their lands. The peoples of the forest have a message for the Brazilian government, politicians and the business community. To prospectors, loggers, squatters and other invaders of their lands: "we will continue to resist." This is one of the main messages of the #PeoplesOfTheForest campaign, which Instituto Socioambiental (ISA) and its partners in the indigenous, Quilombola, riparian and extractivist communities are launching this Tuesday, April 23, online, on TV and in cinemas. The campaign is asking for people to support the fight to protect Brazil's environmental heritage and is advocating for the rights of indigenous tribes and traditional populations. Young people, women, medicine men, chiefs and shamans. The protagonists for the #PeoplesOfTheForest campaign are 25 leaders from nine indigenous tribes in the Amazon, from Quilombola communities in Vale do Ribeira (SP) and from riparian communities in Terra do Meio, Pará. With their strength and beauty, the campaign honors the diversity of the people living in and protecting the forests, reminding us that it is the forests that regulate the climate, produce rain for farming and house the planet's largest biodiversity, a potential source of new medications and cures. ”Close Your Eyes and Think of Christmas” has delighted the world of fashion and the world of advertising immediately after its premiere. The authors got off the traditional way of depicting the Christmas atmosphere and decided on minimal, cold, even frosty, style. They took advantage of nostalgic memories and chose the frozen forest as the symbol of climate prevailing in the spot. The X-mas commercial by Juno Calypso is full of big names. Naomi Campbell with her mother, Kristin Scott-Thomas, Matt Smith and M.I.A. are only few of them. The creators decided to dust off song from over 100 years ago. The sounds of rearranged ”Carol Of The Bell” provide the unusual, icy climate of the spot. Our artists, being responsible for master shooting and color correction, contributed to the final, perfect look.
