The Wild, Jungle Creations’ creative agency, has partnered with National Lottery operator Camelot to create its first advert ‘Dreams’ for The National Lottery, as part of a campaign that highlights the thousands of local football projects that have been supported by Good Causes funding across the UK. Through this campaign, The Wild and Camelot are aiming to inspire people to play The National Lottery by educating them on the positive impact that Good Causes funding has on local communities. First launching with this advert, it will be followed by two mini documentaries that will tell the story of some of the talented beneficiaries including a 92-year-old footballer and a woman called Sophie, who is a member of Street Football Wales, a social inclusion charity that exists to improve the lives and opportunities for socially excluded people in Wales using street football. Following previous work with The National Lottery Promotions Unit (NLPU), The Wild this time worked with Camelot on an advert to bring to life some of the incredible projects supported by the, on average, £30 million raised each week for Good Causes across the UK. A total of over £40 billion has now been raised by The National Lottery since 1994. The latest advert from The Wild will be distributed across social platforms and pre-roll on Quantcast and YouTube. All media has been planned and implemented by Vizeum UK and will be supported by a wider campaign which will also run on radio and in selected podcasts. We modeled and animated a miniature world prototype of trading utilizing a top view of blocks and buildings, which represent different companies. The difficult part was to recreate the specific essence of every business so that the viewer would recognize the company at a glance. Our main goal was to enable viewers to discover a new detail every time they would rewatch the ad. The edit of the video posed a challenge because we wanted to have an engaging visual stimulation and at the same time keep the flow smooth. Furthermore, we experimented with the transition from an isometric landscape into a flat one to demonstrate the functionalities of the mobile interface. This particular campaign wants to help victims that have been branded by their traffickers. Thanks to the work of talented tattoo artists in the UK, we will turn this symbol of branding into a new symbol of hope. Human trafficking and sexual exploitation continue to leave a mark on victims all around the world and even in the UK. With this project, we want to raise awareness for the issue, while showing other survivors that it’s possible to overcome and live with the effects of modern slavery. From PTSD to trust issues, you can support us on this journey to combat the scars of human trafficking that reside deep below the surface. We will go beyond the campaign, as often traffickers either brand the victims themselves or they use tattoo studios. Most of the time, the tattoo artist is unaware that they are about the brand a victim. So, Medaille Trust aim to train tattoo artists to spot the signs of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. With their help, we can prevent cases and stop traffickers in their tracks!
