Brief: Volkswagen decided to sponsor the Planeta Terra Festival (big music fest in São Paulo) as it was a great opportunity to bring their trendy car, the Fox, closer to city’s youth. Then came our challenge: spread the Fox message beyond the event walls, reaching every youngster in São Paulo. Solution: First, we spread a series of tickets in different places within’ São Paulo. Then, we launched an online platform where visitors could see the Google Maps of the entire city. The mechanic was simple: the more tweets #foxatplanetaterra, the closer the zoom on the map. The first one to get to the ticket, won it. This went on for four days straight. Results: The tweet #foxatplanetaterra became a TrendTopic in São Paulo in less than 2 hours, where it remained for the entire length of the competition. The campaign was created to encourage women victims of violence to go to police stations to report their aggressors. Research shows that many women who suffer domestic violence do not report because they feel they will not be heard or respected by the police. To undo this perception, the commercial presents a woman's report (based on actual testimony), highlighting the reactions of the delegate, which reflects the suffering of the victim. Thus we convey the idea that delegates have the empathy and sensitivity to help women victims of domestic violence. Why is it necessary to include the word “black” to find black people pictures on search results? This is what the NGO Desabafo Social is questioning in the experiment #SearchForEquality (#BuscaPorIgualdade, in Portuguese) addressed to the largest image banks in the world – Getty Images, Shutterstock, Depositphotos and iStock Photos. The movement #SearchForEquality has engaged millions of people in Brazil in only a week making Google, Shutterstock and Depositphotos to discuss how to change their algorithms globally. Cup Noodles®, instant noodle brand by Nissin, is celebrating 27 years of Brazil and the party's stage will be Rock in Rio! To talk about the strong relationship of the product with the world of music, Dentsu Brazil created an unexpected campaign full of humor and allusions to number 27. However, Nissin cannot ignore the warnings that using 27 in the context of Rock is not a good idea. The number in question is said to be to the world of music just as 13 is to popular belief: GIVE IT BAD LUCK! Say Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain and Amy Winehouse, some of the “participants” of the famous Club of 27, icons of world music who turned 27 at the age of 27, that become stars on the stages of eternity. To remove any curse and not to link the name of the festival to these facts, the brand decided to play with the reference and redesign the entire campaign. In the narrative, the campaign airs, and after comments on social networks about the history of number 27, Nissin decides to remake the entire content. Thus, the pieces that would already be finished undergo adaptations “hastily” and receive stripes and “patches” with the said number changed to 26 + 1. Everybody is sick and tired to hear about condoms. So MTV created a new concept that goes straight to the point: #USEITDICK. The campaign contains three films: Male Mermaid, Jumping Jacks and Tennis Player. Each one shows idiot doubts about condoms and the answer always comes from MTV: #USEITDICK. Literally. Brazilian voters are going to the polls on Sunday in the first round of the presidential election. In an attempt to raise awareness of the importance of an informed voting decision (In Brazil where voting is mandatory), BURGER KING launches an irreverent, disruptive campaign: the Blank Whopper. Can you imagine getting a sandwich with just onions and mayo, or just pickles, or with no bread at all? This is a Whopper chosen by someone else – and what customers got after answering their intent to vote Blank in the next presidential election. To stress the effects of the decision, the package spells out the message: “choosing the blank ballot is waiving your right to choose; and when you let someone choose for you, you can’t complain about the results.” “We wanted to show that casting a blank ballot is not as great as it sounds. Each and every one of us deserves their country their way– and an informed voting decision is the first step in that direction”, says Rafael Donato, creative VP for DAVID SP. Please note that Burger King does not support any candidate nor any party and that this promotion is not part of any election campaign.
