Duolingo's mascot Duo is known for appearing in fun push notifications on users' phones reminding them of study time. To prove just how far the little owl is willing to go to encourage and help the students, the platform projected the world's largest push notification (with a size between 10 and 15 squared meters) on buildings in the city of São Paulo, Brazil, to give them that 'push' to resume their streaks (counted in the app as the number of days in a row a student completes assignments). After a search and posts asking for fan recommendations on the brand's social media profiles, some users were chosen - from more than 500 responses with nominations from all regions of the metropolis - to receive the giant personalized notifications. The surprise was organized with the help of family and friends, who were responsible for taking the students to their apartment windows. Outside, they found fun and customized notifications for each profile, projected on the sides of neighboring buildings, making them impossible to ignore. True stories may seem fake. Fake stories may seem true. This is the message from Boatos.org, a brazilian fact-checking website that identifies and debunks hoaxes and fake news since 2013. The first music magazine in the world that plays the music you are reading about. That’s the idea of the project created and developed by the Ogilvy Brazil and its digital team to make a difference for its client Billboard. Now, the readers would just need to touch their mobile phones over the Billboard’s cover and listen to a top list of music bands Billboard is talking about in that edition. How? No app downloads, no QR codes, no Bluetooth and 100% wireless. The shopper only needs to carry modern mobile with NFC (Near Field Communication) technology that comes in almost all new models. The secret of the action is a NFC sticker behind the cover that transmits the music to the consumers with a single touch. After a period of tests in selected newsstands and bookstores in Sao Paulo, Billboard Brazil publishers are now ready to change the music magazine as we know in a large scale. Readers have just become listeners. Ambient advertisement created by Ogilvy, Brazil for Billboard, within the category: Media.

Driving to a bar with friends on a holiday and being the only one not to drink. As if that weren’t challenging enough, Heineken put to the test the responsible attitude of these drivers and rewarded those who stood true to the purpose. What seemed to be just a delivery truck of the brand revealed a customized Jaguar F-Type that took these drivers to an unusual ride in the Interlagos Race Track with none other than Sir Jackie Stewart, former driver and three-time Formula 1 world champion. At the end of the ride, the responsible drivers won tickets to enjoy Formula 1 Grand Prix Heineken of Brazil 2017 with their friends. This was the mechanics used by Heineken, official sponsor of Formula 1, to create “The Green Drivers” campaign. Idealized in partnership with Hands (Brazilian ad agency), the film is airing on digital channels as part of a responsible consumer campaign surrounding the GP of Brazil 2017 that took place this month. The idea was to show that people who never drink while driving can also have incredible experiences. Experiential advertisement created by Hands, Brazil for Heineken, within the category: Alcoholic Drinks.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO),* 5.8% of Brazilians suffer from depression. In that state, it’s common for people to think that life has no meaning and that whatever they’ve lost will never come back. But many of those who are ready to give up on hope and throw away their will to go on eventually find love and happiness brought back to them in a very simple way: the presence of a dog in their lives. To reinforce the positive effect that dogs have on humans, PEDIGREE® turned to the most common game between a caretaker and their pet: throwing something for the dog to fetch and bring back. The brand used this playful activity to launch a campaign encouraging adoption. In addition to an animated short telling a beautiful, poetic story, the initiative included the creation of a line of fetch toys emblazoned with the words “love,” “happiness,” “life,” and “hope,” which were sent out to influencers and people who had recently been through a difficult experience. Whenever one of them threw “happiness” far away, for example, they’d find their faithful dog bringing it back. With this simple analogy, PEDIGREE® seeks to create even more awareness about the importance of adopting a dog, showing just how much goodness they bring to human beings’ lives. Who's never turned to a quick tutorial online to learn how to make a dish or watched, hypnotized, as a sped-up step-by-step turns eggs, flour, and sugar into a magnificent cake? These express recipes, social-media darlings, always seem to go right. But in practice, that's not always the case. And what if things go wrong? Taking this as its jumping-off point, iFood, in a campaign created by AlmapBBDO, presents parodies of online recipes, suggesting to the audience that when things don't turn out perfectly, they can always fall back on the countless possibilities and ease of the leading platform for online food delivery in Brazil. The ads poke fun at the audience with the tagline: "Didn't work? Order it from iFood." Film advertisement created by BBDO, Brazil for iFood, within the category: Food.
