Robots are taking over the world, and Artificial Intelligence is taking giant leaps towards becoming more human-like than we ever thought possible. But there is one frontier it has yet to master—comedy. The truth is, nothing beats the real thing. For the launch of the 2017 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, we decided to play a little joke by creating the ‘world’s first A.I. comedian’—or so people thought.
