Wildfires destroyed 10 million m2 of forest in Georgia this year. For a country with a massive air pollution problem, the damage is enormous, but there is still some hope. To remind people about the catastrophe, we exhibited burnt Christmas trees next to the charming fir trees at the annual Christmas fair in the center of the city. As a follow-up we want to start a new Christmas tradition to save the burnt forest - while you’re busy decorating your own Christmas tree, let’s plant a real fir tree where we need it the most. Go to merrytreesmas.com to sponsor a tree in the damaged area. Treepex - an ecological startup will plant a new Christmas tree for you and help you track its growth. The campaign is initiated by local creative agency Leavingstone together with Treepex. Let’s rebuild the damaged forest tree by tree!
